Abstract: The methods and systems discussed herein describe how a first wireless communication device forwards a reservation signal, which identifies one or more time-slots that have been reserved by a second wireless communication device, to avoid “merging collisions.” In some examples, the first wireless communication device determines that it should forward the reservation signal based on a determination that the first wireless communication device is located at the edge of a coverage area associated with the second wireless communication device. This determination can be based on location information associated with the second wireless communication device or whether a received power value of the reservation signal is within a pre-defined threshold range value. In other examples, the first wireless communication device transmits an updated forwarded reservation signal, which is an update of a previously forwarded reservation signal in which multiple time-slots were reserved.

Abstract: An eNodeB transmits a high priority indicator within a licensed frequency band. In response to receiving the high priority indicator, other eNodeBs refrain from transmitting signals within an unlicensed frequency band. After determining that no other eNodeBs are transmitting signals within the unlicensed frequency band, the eNodeB transmitting the high priority indicator transmits signals to a user equipment (UE) device.

Abstract: A neighboring cell determines that uplink interference from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) exceeds a first threshold at the neighboring cell. The neighboring cell transmits an uplink interference indicator to the UAV. In some examples, the UAV informs its serving cell of the uplink interference experienced by the neighboring cell. The serving cell can utilize information received from the UAV to make handover decisions or scheduling decisions for the UAV that caused the uplink interference. In other examples, the UAV can temporarily refrain from transmitting on at least some of its uplink resources or utilize different uplink resources for uplink data transmissions. In still other examples, the UAV can utilize downlink measurements to select which neighboring base station System Information Block messages should be monitored for an uplink interference indicator.

Abstract: A base station assigns a first set of device-to-device (D2D) communication resources to a first D2D group and assigns a second set of D2D communication resources to a second D2D group. The D2D communication resources of the first set are different from the D2D communication resources of the second set. The first set of D2D communication resources and the second set of D2D communication resources are subsets of reserved D2D communication resources which are a subset of defined uplink communication resources defined by a communication specification for uplink communication between the D2D UE devices and a base station where the reserved D2D communication resources not used for uplink transmission to the base station.

Abstract: Communication equipment communicating in a licensed frequency band identifies unused unlicensed communication resources within an unlicensed frequency band. The communication equipment uses the identified unlicensed communication resources to communicate within the unlicensed frequency band. In some circumstances, the unused unlicensed communication resources are identified based on resource information received from a base station where the resource information identifies unlicensed communication resources that will be used by the base station. In other circumstances, the unused unlicensed communication resources are identified based on frequency band measurements of the unlicensed frequency band over an observation time duration longer than a sensing time duration used by unlicensed equipment using the unlicensed frequency band.

Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) calculates an estimated uplink interference caused by the UAV at a neighboring cell based on a downlink signal received from the neighboring cell. Based on the estimated uplink interference, the UAV monitors downlink messages transmitted from the neighboring cell. If the uplink interference experienced by the neighboring cell exceeds an interference threshold, the neighboring cell transmits a downlink message, which includes an uplink interference indicator, to the UAV. Upon receipt of the uplink interference indicator, the UAV transmits a measurement report, including the uplink interference indicator, to the serving cell. In some cases, the serving cell transmits a handover command to the UAV based at least partially on the measurement report. The serving cell may also maintain a mobility history for the neighboring cell. The mobility history indicates a history of uplink interference problems and/or UAV handover availability for the neighboring cell.

Abstract: A base station includes a controller that performs multicast service SC-PTM transmission, and a transmitter that transmits SC-PTM configuration information related to a configuration of the SC-PTM transmission via a SC-PTM control channel, which is a logical channel different from a MCCH, and transmits multicast data via a traffic channel for the SC-PTM transmission. Each of the SC-PTM control channel and the traffic channel is mapped on a DL-SCH. The transmitter transmits a SIB related to the SC-PTM control channel via a BCCH, transmits first resource allocation information for transmitting the SC-PTM configuration information via a PDCCH, where a predetermined RNTI for the SC-PTM control channel is applied to transmission of the first resource allocation information, and transmits second resource allocation information for transmitting multicast data by the SC-PTM transmission via the PDCCH. A G-RNTI different from the predetermined RNTI is applied to transmission of the second resource allocation information.

Abstract: A transmitting user equipment (UE) device transmits scheduling assignment information within a scheduling assignment region of a physical channel structure where the physical channel structure is defined by at least one revision of a communication specification governing communication within a licensed frequency band. The scheduling assignment information identifies time-frequency communication resources of an unlicensed frequency band. The transmitting UE device transmits data to a receiving UE device using the time-frequency communication resources of the unlicensed frequency band.
