    摘要: A gas isolated disconnecting switch is provided which performs a sufficient restriking surge suppressing function, induces no adverse effect on the operation of a circuit breaker disposed within the system and always enables the circuit breaker to surely interrupt a fault current. Under the closed condition of the gas isolated disconnecting switch, a main stationary member 6 engages with a main movable member 16 and an auxiliary movable member 17 with an auxiliary stationary member 8 respectively. Accordingly the portion of an auxiliary conductor 7 which passes through a cylindrical magnetic body 9 is short-circuited via the main stationary member 6 and the main movable member 16, and no influence is induced on the operation of the circuit breaker disposed in the system. During the opening operation of the disconnecting switch, the auxiliary movable member 17 disengages with a time delay. At this moment, the current flows through the portion of the auxiliary conductor 7 which passes through the cylindrical magnetic body 9 to thereby perform a sufficient restriking surge suppressing function.

    摘要: An electrical power system protection device includes a circuit breaker and a switch connected in series to a power line. The protection device also has a current limiting element connected in parallel to the circuit breaker. When the level of electrical current flowing in the power line, detected by a current detector, has exceeded a predetermined first set level, a first over-current detector delivers immediately a trip command to the circuit breaker. As a consequence, fault current is commutated to the current limiting element so that any drop of voltage in the power line upstream of the circuit breaker is greatly suppressed. When a state in which a predetermined second set level is exceeded by the detected current level is continued beyond a predetermined period, a second over-current detector delivers an off command to the switch, thus protecting the upstream portion of the power line against the fault in this power line. The current level is set to fall within a range which activates a momentary element of an over-current relay of a receiving end breaker of a downstream sub-system connected to the power line. In the event of a failure in the downstream power line, the receiving end breaker is tripped immediately so that the sound portion of the power line is reset to a normal state of operation.

    摘要: A solid-state switch has a plurality of gate turn-off thyristors connected in the rungs of a ladder circuit and a plurality of diodes connected in the side rails of the ladder circuit. The anode of the first gate turn-off thyristor is connected to the cathodes of the first and second diodes, the cathode of the first gate turn-off thyristor is connected to the anodes of the third and fourth diodes. The cathode of the second gate turn-off thyristor is connected to the anode of the second diode and the anode of the fifth diode, the anode of the second gate turn-off thyristor is connected to the cathode of the fourth diode and the cathode of the sixth diode. The anode of the first diode and the cathode of the third diode are connected together at a common point, which is selected to be one terminal of the switch.     摘要: The present invention relates to a puffer type circuit breaker having a high voltage and large capacity, which is provided with an insulating nozzle for blowing a arc-extinguishing gas of high pressure generated by separating a movable contactor from a fixed contactor. The fixed contactor has a larger diameter portion formed on the base portion thereof and a smaller diameter portion formed at the tip end thereof, and the insulating portion has a first throat portion adjusted by the smaller diameter portion and a second throat portion located at the downstream side of the first throat portion and adjusted by the larger diameter portion, thereby allowing the gas inlet portion to be formed by the diameter difference between the first throat portion and the smaller diameter portion which is in such manner that the second throat portion is adjusted by the larger diameter portion. By virtue of these features, when the contactors are separated from each other, even if the arc-extinguishing gas of high pressure flows into the space between the first throat portion and the second throat portion, the rapid gas flow is not generated therein. Accordingly, since the arc-extinguishing gas is prevented from lowering the gas density on the tip of the fixed contactor, it is possible to improve the breaking ability of small capacitive current.
