In structure, there are provided the steps of forming a negative photoresist film on a first insulating film for covering a first island-like semiconductor film, forming a resist mask that has an opening portion in an inner region with respect to a periphery of the first island-like semiconductor film by exposing/developing the negative photoresist film from a back surface side of a transparent substrate, etching the first insulating film in the opening portion of the resist mask, forming a second insulating film for covering the first insulating film and a conductive film thereon, and forming a first gate electrode and a second gate electrode by patterning the conductive film.

    摘要: A charge mosaic membrane having excellent selective permeability comprises a cationic polymer component, an anionic polymer component and a matrix component. Both of the cationic polymer component and the anionic polymer component are crosslinked particulate polymers. The matrix component is at least one polymer selected from a polysulfone resin, a polyarylate resin, a polyamide resin, a polyimide resin, a polyamideimide resin, a polyurethane resin, a fluorinated resin or a silicone resin. The charge mosaic membrane can be easily produced by conducting formation of the membrane by using a composition in which the cationic polymer component and the anionic polymer component are both dispersed in a solution of the matrix component in an organic solvent.

    摘要: A method for fabricating a liquid crystal display device including a liquid crystal layer clamped between a first and second substrates. The method includes the steps of: forming a pixel electrode pattern on the first substrate; painting a resist film on the pixel electrode pattern; exposing and developing the resist film and forming a resist pattern having a shape on the pixel electrode pattern in which multiple branches extend outwardly from both sides of a main stem connecting among the multiple braches; and conducting an ashing process and a thermosetting process for the resist pattern. Liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer orient approximately in vertical to a surface of the liquid crystal layer in a non-driving state, and the liquid crystal molecules orient approximately in parallel to the surface of the liquid crystal layer in a driving state.

    摘要: An ion-selective membrane is formed integrally of an ion-selective membrane forming component and a woven-fabric-shaped backing. The ion-selective membrane forming component comprises a cationic polymer component and/or an anionic polymer component and a matrix component. Each of the ionic polymer components is a particulate polymer having an average particle size in a range of from 0.01 to 10 &mgr;m. The woven-fabric-shaped backing has a meshed structure. The ion-selective membrane can be produced by forming it while maintaining a layer of a coating formulation, in which the ionic polymer component is dispersed in a solution or dispersion of the matrix component in an organic solvent, in close contact with the woven-fabric-shaped backing. The ion-selective membrane is useful for the permeation of an electrolyte. An apparatus provided with the ion-selective membrane is also provided.
