摘要: A self-supporting cable includes a main cable constructed by covering a cable core with an inner cover layer and installing one or more strength members inside the inner cover layer such that they lie on a plane passing through the central axis thereof; a support member; and an outer cover layer formed so as to cover the main cable and the support member while they are arranged in parallel. A support member portion including the support member and a part of the outer cover layer and a main cable portion including the main cable and a part of the outer cover layer are connected by connecting portions, which are also a part of the outer cover layer, in the longitudinal direction thereof. The main cable portion is made longer than the support member portion so that there is an allowance in the length thereof.

摘要: There is disclosed a four-cycle engine in which a crankshaft and a cam shaft are disposed generally parallel to each other, and an intake port and an exhaust port are formed in a cylinder head. The intake port and the exhaust port are arranged in such a manner that a line passing through the centers of the intake port and the exhaust port is non-parallel to the axis of the crankshaft. With this arrangement, an intake passage and an exhaust passage can be greatly shortened, and therefore intake efficiency as well as exhaust efficiency can be enhanced, thereby enhancing the performance of the engine. In an air-cooled engine, the overheating of the engine is greatly restrained.

摘要: A two-cycle combustion engine with a two-staged piston addresses a blow-off phenomenon of an air-fuel mixture. A cylinder block has a two-staged cylinder bore with a reduced diameter bore portion and a large diameter bore portion, and a two-staged piston having a reduced diameter piston portion and a large diameter piston portion. An annular auxiliary chamber is defined between the cylinder bore and the two-staged piston. An air passage introduces air mixed with oil into a crank chamber. An air-fuel mixture passage introduces the air-fuel mixture into the auxiliary chamber. A scavenge air passage supplies the air within the crank chamber into a combustion chamber, and an injection passage injects the air-fuel mixture within the auxiliary chamber into the combustion chamber from an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder block in a direction oriented substantially diagonally upwardly.

摘要: An engine having a vertically disposed crankshaft includes an engine cover for closing a whole upper area of an engine body and having a skirt portion protruding downwardly from a periphery of the engine cover, and a cooling fan with a flywheel fixed to an output shaft of the engine below the engine body. The engine further includes a protruded shroud formed integrally on a wall portion of the engine body to completely close an annular clearance between the wall portion and the skirt portion, and a plurality of apertures formed in the protruded shroud to constitute a cooling air intake inlet.
