    摘要: A hybrid vehicle including an internal combustion engine; a continuously variable transmission for transmitting a force between a first pulley and a second pulley through a metal belt; and a motor. An output shaft of the internal combustion engine is connected to the first pulley. The second pulley is connected to an output shaft of the motor. The output shaft of the motor is connected to a driving force transmitting device for transmitting a driving force from the second pulley and the motor. The motor and the driving force transmitting device are connected to the second pulley via an engaging element for selectively connecting or disconnecting the transmission of the driving force to the second pulley. The engaging element disconnects the transmission of the force when the internal combustion engine is stopped.

    摘要: A two-cycle engine includes an engine body having at least one cylinder, the cylinder having an exhaust port and at least one scavenge port disposed generally in opposed relation to the exhaust port. A piston is received in the cylinder for reciprocal movement therealong and having an outer peripheral surface for closing the exhaust and scavenge ports during the reciprocal movement thereof. The piston has a transverse bore extending therethrough with opposite ends of the transverse bore opening to the outer peripheral surface of the piston. The opposite ends of the transverse bore is capable of being brought into facing relation to the opposed exhaust and scavenge ports, respectively, during the reciprocal movement of the piston. A hollow wrist pin is received in the transverse bore and retained therein, one end of the wrist pin being closed.

    摘要: The nozzles include inlet ports circumferentially arranged into a group and an opening and closing valve disposed so as to be commonly functioned. This arrangement realizes a gas turbine with no deterioration of efficiency against fluctuation of gas inflow rate by only one heat-resistant moving component additionally installed. The variable nozzle number turbine according to this invention also realizes a turbine compressor with no surge limit when used as a regenerator. These turbines further realizes a small-sized gas turbine with improved fuel economy under partial load conditions and a turbocharger for regenerating electric power as well as improving efficiency of a displacement engine.

A single-pinion type planetary gear mechanism is mounted on a transmission output shaft coaxially therewith, and a second power transmission mechanism is provided between driven discs of the continuously variable transmission mechanism and planetary gear mechanism. A torque-split clutch for engaging and disengaging a carrier of the planetary gear mechanism and countershaft with and from each other, a reversing brake for fixedly holding the carrier, and a starting clutch for engaging and disengaging a sun gear and output shaft with and from each other. A driving gear, which is held firmly between the driven discs, and a driven gear form the second power transmission mechanism, and a ring gear is joined to the output shaft.

    摘要: A two-cycle engine includes a cylinder block having at least one pair of first and second cylinders, the first and second cylinders having a pair of first and second exhaust ports, respectively. A pair of first and second pistons are received respectively in the first and second cylinders for reciprocal movement therealong, each of the exhaust ports being selectively closed and opened by a respective one of the pistons during the movement thereof along a respective one of the cylinders. The first and second pistons are operatively connected to a crankshaft in such a manner that the first and second pistons are reciprocable 180.degree. out of phase along the respective cylinders. A final portion of the duration of opening of one of the exhaust ports overlaps an initial portion of the duration of opening of the other. An exhaust passage has a communicating portion communicating the first and second exhaust ports with each other adjacent thereto.
