Abstract: The present invention provides a method of transmitting broadcast signals. The method includes, formatting input streams into Data Pipe (DP) data, Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) encoding the DP data according to a code rate, bit interleaving the LDPC encoded DP data, mapping the bit interleaved DP data onto constellations, building at least one signal frame including the mapped DP data, and modulating data in the built signal frame by an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) method and transmitting the broadcast signals having the modulated data, wherein the input streams include Audio/Video (A/V) data and service guide data, and wherein the Audio/Video (A/V) data and service guide data are included in first ISO base media file format (ISOBMFF) files.

Abstract: A method of processing a service in a transmitter, and including generating, by a hardware processor, a first media component and a second media component for the service; generating, by the hardware processor, signaling data for the service; time interleaving, by a time interleaver, the first media component, wherein the first media component is time-interleaved by column-wise writing actual Forward Error Correction (FEC) blocks including the first media component in a Time Interleaving (TI) memory and diagonal-wise reading the first media component in the actual FEC blocks from the TI memory, wherein one or more virtual FEC blocks are skipped during the diagonal-wise reading the written first media component, and wherein a number of the one or more virtual FEC blocks is equal to a difference between a number of the actual FEC blocks and a column number of the TI memory; generating, by a signaling generator, physical layer signaling information, wherein the physical layer signaling information includes first physical layer signaling information and second physical layer signaling information, wherein the first physical layer signaling information includes information for identifying a size of the second physical layer signaling information and wherein the second physical layer signaling information includes information for obtaining the column number of the TI memory; transmitting, by an antenna, the time-interleaved first media component, the physical layer signaling information and the signaling data through a broadcast network; and transmitting, by a network interface, the second media component to a receiver through a broadband network. Further, the signaling data transmitted through the broadcast network includes first timeline information for specifying a timeline of the first media component transmitted through the broadcast network and uniform resource location information for the second media component.

Abstract: A method for transmitting a broadcast signal in a digital broadcast transmitter, the method including generating components of a service; generating first signaling information including session instance description information for at least one Real-Time Object Delivery over Unidirectional Transport (ROUTE) session and at least one Layered Coding Transport (LCT) channel in which the components of the service are delivered, wherein the session instance description information includes first source Internet Protocol (IP) address information of the at least one ROUTE session, first destination IP address information of the at least one ROUTE session, first destination port information of the at least one ROUTE session, and transport session identification information for the at least one LCT channel; generating second signaling information which is used for acquiring the first signaling information, wherein the second signaling information includes information for indicating a channel number of the service, wherein the second signaling information further includes bootstrap information and signaling transport mode information for indicating a type of delivery protocol of the first signaling information, and further the bootstrap information changes depending on the signaling transport mode information, and wherein the bootstrap information included in the second signaling information includes second source IP address information, second destination IP address information, and second destination port information for the first signaling information, wherein the at least one LCT channel is acquired based on the bootstrap information included in the second signaling information; and transmitting the broadcast signal including the components of the service, the first signaling information, and the second signaling information based on at least one Physical Layer Pipe (PLP).

Abstract: A method of processing a broadcast signal in a broadcast receiver includes receiving the broadcast signal including service data of a service, first signaling information for fast channel scans and service acquisition, and second signaling information providing information for discovery and acquisition of the service data. Further, the first signaling information includes bootstrap information for the second signaling information, identification information for identifying the service, category information for indicating a category of the service and capability information specifying a capability required to decode the service data. In addition, the second signaling information is carried in a Layered Coding Transport (LCT) channel that is identified by a Transport Session Identifier (TSI), and the bootstrap information includes address and port information for access of the second signaling information. The method also includes acquiring the service data based on at least the first signaling information or the second signaling information; and decoding the service data.
