Abstract:
A covering for the cargo area (3) of a motor vehicle (1), especially for the cargo area (3) of a pick-up truck, having a roll-up element (2) which is opened for loading the cargo area (3) and which can be partially or completely closed when it is desired that the cargo area (3) be covered. The roll-up element (2) has interconnected louvers (4) which are outwardly arched and can be guided at its lateral sides by guide elements (10, 11) with recesses (12) for receiving the roll-up element (2). Additionally, the guide elements (10, 11) can have contact elements (15) for applying outwardly directed pressure to the roll-up element (2), the contact elements having a low friction top surface (16) to facilitate sliding or rolling of the roll-up element over it.
Abstract:
A vehicle roller blind arrangement, with a roller blind web that can be wound or unwound in an extension direction, a band-shaped guide element that extends along the extension direction and is guidable in a guide rail, which can be coupled fixedly to a vehicle, in such a manner that said guide element extends parallel to the roller blind web, and a band element that extends along the extension direction and is arranged between the roller blind web and the guide element and, on a first longitudinal side, is coupled fixedly to the roller blind web and, on a second longitudinal side, is coupled fixedly to the guide element. The band element has a T-shaped or Y-shaped cross section, is formed of a different material from the roller blind web, and has a smaller material thickness than the roller blind web. In addition, the invention relates to correspondingly configured subassemblies and roof arrangements.
Abstract:
A vehicle roof is proposed, comprising a roof opening which may be selectively closed or at least partially opened by means of a cover element, which is guided relative to a vehicle longitudinal central plane on both sides via a drive mechanism in a guide rail fixed to the roof, and which is made from a material comprising polycarbonate. The drive mechanism is at least partially an integral component of the cover element.

Abstract:
A vehicle roof comprising at least one cover element, which selectively closes or at least partially exposes a roof opening and which, with respect to the vehicle longitudinal center plane, comprises a carrier element on either side, said carrier element being provided with a gate and interacting with an adjusting device, which is guided in a guide rail arranged in the vehicle longitudinal direction and comprises a carriage element, which interacts with the gate of the respective carrier element at least in order to pivot the cover element and comprises a guide section on which the carrier element rests. The guide section is formed by a wall of a plastic component, which can be elastically deformed and give way in a hollow space formed by the plastic component.
Abstract:
A tailgate arrangement which is located in the region of the rear opening (12) of a vehicle and in the closed position borders a cargo space (16), has an upper tailgate part (18) which is coupled in the region of the upper edge (20) of the rear opening (12) and a lower tailgate part (22) which is coupled in the region of the lower edge (24) of the rear opening (12) of the vehicle and is aligned essentially horizontally in the open position. An expansion element (28) is detachably fixed on the inside of the lower tailgate part (22) and in the open position of the lower tailgate part (22) expands the cargo space (16) and closes it relative to the exterior of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A frame for a vehicle sliding sunroof or tilt-slide sunroof is proposed, comprising at least one single-piece frame base element (22), that is embodied as a plastic injection-molded piece and comprises at least one front frame piece (24) and two side stringers (26, 28) that are directed in the vehicle's longitudinal direction. For formation of a light and stiff frame, the frame base element (22) according to the invention is embodied as a composite component, and provided with at least one profile- or cup-shaped inserted piece (38, 40) that serves as a reinforcing element.

Abstract:
A motor vehicle roof with a roof plate which has a transparent plastic area to which a peripheral plastic edge is molded which is used especially as a cover visor and which extends downward. Furthermore, the roof plate has a nontransparent area with a holding frame for a functional element molded onto a bottom thereof.
