摘要： A rear projection type display system with a transmissive screen. A transparent reinforcing plate is coupled to a lenticular sheet of the screen on the light output side by a connective member to broaden the horizontal diverging angle by 60 degrees or more to the right and left sides. The duty factor of a black stripe formed on the lenticular sheet is set to 60% or more so improve the contrast of an image. The diverging angle at each point of a vertically-diffusing lens for diverging light in the vertical direction is modulated in accordance with the height of each point to offer a proper visual angle range in the vertical direction.

摘要： In a recording apparatus to record data by applying a light beam of high and low intensities onto a recording medium (disk), the intensities of the reflected light beams from the disk for the two kinds of light beams are detected to control the light intensity for recording in synchronization with the timing of the bits formed on the disk. In a recording apparatus which records data supplied from a data source via a buffer memory, data is recorded on the disk in a specified recording density by controlling the recording operation in accordance to the occupation ratio in the buffer memory.

The catalyst is effective for eliminating NO.sub.x in exhaust gas from lean burn engines such as lean burn gasoline engines and diesel engines containing excess O.sub.2 corresponding to an A/F ratio of 17 or over.

摘要： The present invention provides a spray-drying granulation apparatus having a chamber comprising (a) an upper section which is a spray-drying section for spraying a feed solution from a nozzle and drying the formed droplets with hot air and (b) a lower section which is a fluidized granulation section, in which apparatus there is used, as the nozzle for spraying a feed solution, a two-fluid pressure nozzle comprising a centrifugal pressure nozzle for spraying a feed solution and a cylindrical pipe for blowing out a high-speed gas, provided around the centrifugal pressure nozzle. This spray-drying granulation apparatus enables spraying of even a feed solution of large volume with only one nozzle. Further with the two-fluid pressure nozzle of the apparatus, there is no need of replacement of nozzle parts when the feed rate, concentration, viscosity, kind, etc. of the feed solution are changed greatly, because the diameters of droplets formed by spraying can be controlled by controlling the speed of the high-speed gas, while in the conventional nozzles the replacement of nozzle parts such as orifice, core and the like has been necessary when the above change is made.

A plurality of variable-length coding units respectively encode the output of the prediction error generating unit with different encoding methods. A determining unit estimates the accuracy of the predictive vector generated by the prediction error generating unit based on the degrees of non-uniformity of the motion vectors of the plurality of adjacent blocks. A selecting unit selects one of the encoding results obtained by the plurality of variable-length coding units.
