摘要： The pump for a liquid, especially an electric fuel pump, includes a pump portion having feed members drivable to provide a liquid flow; a housing can having a can base and a housing connector pipe extending from the can base and receiving the pump portion; and an electric drive motor having electrical contacts and a drive shaft connected to the feed members to drive the feed members and a motor housing enclosing the electric drive motor through which the drive shaft extends. The feed members are coupled nonrotatably with the drive shaft projecting through the can base. To provide a simpler assembly and reduced manufacturing costs, the drive motor and the enclosing motor housing are installed as a completely preassembled structural unit in the housing can.

摘要： A device for supplying fuel from a supply tank to an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, has a pump chamber with end-side chamber walls and also having an inlet opening and an outlet opening, a drive motor, a supply pump having an impeller driven by the drive motor. The impeller rotates in the pump chamber and has a substantially disc-shaped hub part provided on its periphery with a plurality of radially outwardly extending vanes. At least one of the chamber walls in the region of radially outer ends of the vanes has an approximately ring shaped, groove-like supply passage which surrounds a rotary axis of the impeller. The inlet opening opens in a ring region of the pump chamber which is limited on one side by the hub part of the impeller and on the other side by an inner ring edge of the ring-shaped supply passage which surrounds the hub part with a distance from the latter.

At least one of the end walls is provided with a groove-shaped unloading passage in a region between an end surface of the feeding element and a sealing surface of the one end wall and communicating through a further opening the pump chamber with a low pressure region. The suction opening has an end facing in a rotary direction of the feeding element. The unloading passage is located near the end of the suction opening.
