Abstract:
A chamber (10) is divided into a reaction zone (20) and a sublimation zone (30). A gaseous mixture (41) is supplied through a conduit (21) into the reaction zone (20) and heated by a heater (27). The components in the gaseous mixture (41) are reaxcted with each other to synthesize solid-phase SiC (42). The solid-phase SiC (42) is heated and evaporated by a heater (35), and condensed as a single crystal (43) on a seed crystal attached to a mount base (37). The mount base (37) is rotated and lowered in response to the growth of the SiC single crystal (43) by a rotary shaft (38). Since the SiC single crystal (43) grows from SiC synthesized by the vapor-phase reaction, the obtained product is of very high purity without the substantial inclusion of impurities. In addition, a single crystal having a large diameter or length can be obtained without any restrictions originated in a crucible.

A hybrid motor vehicle includes a differential having a differential mechanism equipped with a first rotating element that is connected to an engine, a second rotating element that is connected to a first electric motor and a third rotating element connected to both a second electric motor and a transfer member; and a transmission provided in a power transmission path, extending from the transfer member to driven wheels, that establishes a plurality of transmission ranges by selectively operating a plurality of coupling devices. An irreversible rotation member connected to a non-rotation member against reverse rotation through a one-way clutch is provided in the transmission. When the second electric motor is malfunctioning, an engine start control unit starts the engine by driving the first electric motor while selectively engaging the coupling devices to connect the transfer member to the irreversible rotation member.

A main spool is located in a bypass line connecting a pump line to a return line. The main spool moves in an axial direction according to the pressure in a spring chamber and the pressure in a pilot chamber, thereby adjusting the opening degree of the bypass line. A pilot switching valve is located in a pressure control passage connecting the spring chamber to the return line. The pilot switching valve controls the flow rate of hydraulic oil that flows from the spring chamber to the return line in accordance with the load pressure of a hydraulic actuator, thereby adjusting the pressure of hydraulic oil in the spring chamber. As a result, the range of the flow rate of hydraulic oil supplied to the hydraulic actuator, which range precludes the influence of the load pressure of the hydraulic actuator, is expanded.

Disclosed is a transformer for a gas insulated electrical apparatus which requires no grounding field and which provides high accuracy with a simple structure. A transformer includes a capacitor type voltage divider having a floating electrode at a position opposed to a high-voltage conductor through an insulation sealing terminal mounted to a flange of a branch pipe provided on an inner surface of the annular grounding container; an ohm resistor for voltage division which has an impedance that is sufficiently smaller than the impedance between the floating electrode and the annular grounding container; and a converting portion which converts the detection voltage of the high-voltage conductor to a voltage value that allows processing on the secondary side.

In a three-phase current transformer, a plate adaptor includes first to third coil insertion slots and is a magnetic shield. First to third Rogowskii coils are arranged in the first to third coil insertion slots. The metal adaptor is fixed with a phase-to-phase magnetic shield and an outer peripheral magnetic shield. An end magnetic shield is fixed to an end portion of the phase-to-phase magnetic shield.

A surface state monitoring method and apparatus for performing in-situ monitoring of surface states of semiconductor substrates. The apparatus comprises condensing means 30 for condensing infrared radiation to an outer peripheral part of the substrate-to-be-monitored; control means 80 for controlling an incident angle of the infrared radiation condensed by the condensing means 30; condensing means 40 for condensing the infrared radiation which has undergone multiple reflection in the substrate-to-be-monitored; detecting means 50 for detecting the infrared radiation condensed by the infrared radiation condensing means 40, and analyzing means 60 for analyzing the detected infrared radiation detected and measuring contaminants staying on the surfaces of the substrate-to-be-monitored.

A brake fluid pressure control apparatus in a skid control system for a vehicle includes a fluid pressure control valve arranged between a master cylinder and a wheel brake operating apparatus; a brake relieving circuit connected to the fluid pressure control valve; a hydraulic reservoir for reserving brake fluid discharged through the fluid pressure control valve and the brake relieving circuit from the wheel brake operating apparatus and a fluid pressure pump for pressurizing brake fluid from the hydraulic reservoir for returning the brake fluid into a pressurized fluid supply conduit connecting the master cylinder with the fluid pressure control valve through a brake fluid returning circuit; and a valve apparatus arranged at the side of the master cylinder with respect to the connecting point between the pressurized fluid supply conduit and the brake fluid returning circuit, in the pressurized fluid supply conduit, the valve apparatus being able at least to cut off the fluid communication in the direction extending from the connecting point towards the master cylinder and a throttle in a conduit connecting the input side of the valve apparatus and the output side thereof.

A method of fabricating a polycrystalline silicon wafer, which method includes the steps of radially outwardly flowing molten liquid of silicon base material on the wafer forming surface of a turntable mechanism by means of centrifugal force, thereby forming a thin molten liquid layer in a prescribed atmosphere, and cooling and solidifying the same. An apparatus for fabricating the wafer is used to carry out the method with a recover tray arranged at the wafer forming surface for receiving the excessive silicon liquid scattered, and a wafer tray placed on the recovery tray. The wafer forming surface is cooled with coolant flowing in the wafer forming mechanism. Thus, large crystalline grains can be grown on the wafer in free states with the atmosphere from the inner surfaces of the casting mold.

In a control apparatus for a powertrain that includes an automatic transmission, occurrence of slip in a one-way clutch is determined when one gear is formed if a first rotation member and a second rotation member of the one-way clutch rotate relatively. If slip in the one-way clutch is detected, it is determined whether the rotational speed difference between the first rotation member and the second rotation member has increased. If the rotational speed difference between the first rotation member and the second rotation member has increased when slip is detected in the one-way clutch, a control is executed to engage a predetermined frictional engagement element.
