The transparent sealing member (10A) is provided with a transparent body (24) joined on the mount board (18) via an organic adhesion layer (20), and the transparent body (24) has a housing space (26) in a lower surface opening.

The average width of the minute recesses is 0.1 μm to 2.0 μm, the average depth of the minute recesses is 5 nm to 50 nm, and the average frequency of occurrence of the minute recesses is 100000 to 3000000 recesses per 1 mm2.

Abstract: There is disclosed a plugged honeycomb structure. A plugged honeycomb structure includes a honeycomb structure body of a segment structure and plugging portions disposed in open ends of cells formed in the honeycomb structure body, the honeycomb structure body has outer segments and inner segments disposed on an inner side than the outer segments in a cross section of the honeycomb structure body, and a material constituting the outer segments has a smaller heat capacity per unit volume than a material constituting the inner segments.

Abstract: To provide a honeycomb structure capable of using as a catalyst carrier, which functions as a heater, and where a bonding layer is hard to break and an electrical resistance value is hard to rise; including a honeycomb segment bonded body where honeycomb segments are bonded by bonding layer, and a pair of electrode members disposed on a side surface of the bonded body, the electrode members is formed into a band shape, and in a cross section perpendicular to the cell extending direction, one electrode member is disposed on an opposite side across the center of the bonded body to another electrode member, and in at least a part of the bonding layer, inorganic fibers made of β-SiC and a metal silicide are included in a porous body where silicon carbide are bound with silicon in a state where pores are held among the particles.

Abstract: There is provided a honeycomb filter including a honeycomb base material including a porous partition wall parent material; plugged portions arranged in open frontal areas of predetermined cells in an end surface on an inflow side of the fluid, and open frontal areas of the remaining cells in an end surface on an outflow side of the fluid; and a porous collecting layer disposed on the surface of the partition wall parent material in the remaining cells.
