    摘要: A method for determining the instantaneous fluid level of a tank includes the steps of: designating a beginning fluid-level of the tank as an input value during the starting of the engine; ascertaining a first fluid-level value from a fluid level measured by a fluid-level measuring device, and ascertaining a second fluid-level value and a window around the second fluid-level value from the consumption of the engine and from the input value; comparing the first fluid-level value to the window around the second fluid-level value; determining whether the first or the second fluid-level value should be a new input value; displaying the new input value as the fluid level; and terminating the method if the engine is switched off or repeating the method starting from the ascertaining step when the engine is running.

    摘要: A fuel injection valve is proposed that serves for low-pressure fuel injection into the intake manifold of a mixture-compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engine. The fuel injection valve (1) includes a valve needle (12,12") which opens against the force of a closing spring (22), and this valve needle has downstream of the valve seat (16, 16") a fuel guidance cone (17, 17', 17") which tapers in the direction of fuel flow. The fuel guidance cone (17,17', 17") is so disposed that it projects into an air chamber (26) of the fuel injection valve (1) connected to an air line (9). The fuel guidance cone (17, 17', 17") may be embodied either conically or with a surface which extends in a concave manner and tapers tangentially toward the conical tip (29, 29'). An embodiment of a fuel injection valve (1) of this kind with a fuel guidance cone (17, 17', 17"), even lacking an air envelope during full-load or during the transition from idle to full-load assures the formation of a focused fuel jet without dampening the wall of an ejection nozzle (28) provided in alignment with the valve needle (12,12") on the fuel injection valve.

    摘要: A fuel injection system is proposed which serves to adapt the fuel-air mixture as precisely as possible to operating conditions of the internal combustion engine. The fuel injection system includes metering valves, each of which is assigned a regulating valve whose movable valve element can be exposed on one side to the fuel pressure downstream of the respective metering valve and on the other side to a control pressure line defined on one end by a control pressure valve of the nozzle/impact plate type and on the other end by a control throttle. The control pressure valve has a permanent magnet and an electromagnet, the magnetic fluxes of which are guided via an armature in such a manner that in at least one air gap the magnetic fluxes of the permanent magnet and of the electromagnet extend in the same direction, while in at least one other air gap the magnetic fluxes of the permanent magnet and of the electromagnet extend in opposite directions. This kind of embodiment requires a substantially smaller triggering power on the part of the electromagnet. By reversing the exciter current of the electromagnet, the control pressure valve is opened widely enough that the control pressure engaging the regulating valves causes the closure of the regulating valves, and the injection of fuel is precluded.

    摘要: A retaining means is disclosed which utilizes a resilient ring placed in an eccentric groove which partially penetrates its supporting member. The ring extends through the support member and bears against the member to be retained. Thus a constant retaining force is applied to the restrained member which allows the member to be adjusted without first removing the ring. The restraining force is sufficient to prevent unwanted movement of the restrained member when subjected to a vibrational environment.

    摘要: A fuel supply device, which serves to predetermine a fuel quantity that is proportional to the aspirated air quantity, and also serves to spread the air-fuel mixture. The fuel supply device includes an air metering device, which is arranged in the air intake manifold of the internal combustion engine and activates a fuel metering device, which has a control slit that opens a control groove by a varying amount. The control slit and the control groove are rotatable relative to each other, and the control groove has at least one control edge, which overlaps the control slit and is formed at an angle relative to the axis of rotation. The control slit is arranged in a guide sleeve and the control groove is arranged in a rotatable sleeve mounted in the guide sleeve with the rotatable sleeve being arbitrarily shifted relative to the guide sleeve. A connecting tube is arranged between the rotatable sleeve and the mounting axis of the air metering device, by means of which the metered fuel can be fed to a nozzle arranged on the air flow rate meter. For a better mixture spreading effect, air can be fed to the metered fuel through a filter composed of a fine-meshed web.
