Abstract:
A connecting element for fuel injection systems is used for connecting a fuel injector to a fuel-carrying component, in particular a fuel distributor rail. A base body having a receiving space is provided for this purpose. The base body has an opening, via which a fuel fitting of the fuel injector is insertable into the receiving space of the base body. Furthermore, a first annular element is provided in the receiving space, which in the installed state on the one hand interacts with the fuel fitting inserted into the receiving space and on the other hand interacts with the base body. Furthermore, a second annular element is provided in the receiving space of the base body, the first annular element and the second annular element abutting against an outside of the fuel fitting in the installed state.

A system, which is used in particular as a fuel injection system for the high-pressure injection in internal combustion engines, includes a fuel distributor and a plurality of fuel injectors. Each fuel injector is situated on a cup of the fuel distributor. At least one of the fuel injectors is fastened to the associated cup by a holding element, which has a supporting surface. The cup has a contact surface on an underside, by way of which the cup is supported at the supporting surface of the holding element by a damping layer. The holding element is attached to the cup. In addition, the fuel injector has a collar, which is braced on the holding element. Because of the damping layer, vibrations are able to be dampened, and the noise transmissions is able to be reduced.

A holder for fastening a manifold of a fuel distributor to an attachment structure includes: a first half shell; a second half shell; a first elastically deformable damping element provided on a retaining region of the first half shell; and a second elastically deformable damping element provided on a retaining region of the second half shell. The half shells are joined to each other for fastening the manifold to the attachment structure, in such a way that the half shells enclose the tubular component and retain the tubular component by the elastic damping elements. The two half shells are joined to each other by a film hinge.

A fuel injection system for high-pressure injection in internal combustion engines includes: a fuel distributor; and at least one holder which is used for fastening the fuel distributor to an add-on structure. The holder includes a holder body which has a first layer, a second layer, and an elastically deformable damping layer. The first layer and the second layer are made from a metallic material. The elastically deformable damping layer is disposed between the first layer and the second layer. The holder body is connected to the fuel distributor by laser welding. The damping layer is made of a visco-elastic material.

A component, which can be in the form of a fuel line or fuel distributor, is used for a fuel injection system, which is used for injecting fuel or a mixture of fuel and water having a variable water content. The component has a main body on which is provided a high-pressure inlet and at least one high-pressure outlet, the fuel, respectively the mixture being passable from the high-pressure inlet through an inner space of the main body to the least one high-pressure outlet, and an insertion member being configured in the inner space. The insertion member is at least partially made of at least a material having a modulus of compression specified to at least substantially correspond to or be lower than that of the fuel, respectively the mixture and/or lower than 30 GPa.

A component for a fuel injection system, in particular a high-pressure fuel injection system, includes a base body which is implemented in a tube-shaped manner at least sectionally. A tubular section of the base body is implemented having a longitudinal bending along a longitudinal axis of the tubular section which perpendicularly intersects the cross sections of the tubular section. At the longitudinal bending of the tubular section, the base body is implemented in such way that an ovality of the cross sections of the tubular section is reduced and/or smaller than 8% at the longitudinal bending.
