Abstract: The invention provides a biaxially oriented polyester film, which exhibits excellent transparency, is easily subjected to secondary processing, is an environmentally friendly polyester film, and has little variations in physical properties in the machine direction, and a production method therefor. The biaxially oriented polyester film is formed of a polyester resin composition containing particles and 50% by weight or more of a polyester resin composed of biomass-derived ethylene glycol and fossil fuel-derived dicarboxylic acid units, wherein at least one surface of the biaxially oriented polyester film meets requirements (1) to (3): (1) a number of fine protrusions each having a height of less than 3 nm per area of 4×10−12 m2 is 250-600; (2) a number of fine protrusions each having a height of 3 nm or more per area of 4×1012 m2 is 300-600; and (3) an arithmetic mean height Sa is 0.010-0.025 μm.

Abstract: The present invention provides packaging, which comprises a laminated body including a sealing layer and at least one laser printing layer that can undergo printing by laser irradiation, in which the laser printing layer includes a laser-printed portion printed by laser and a non-printed portion, the sealing layer is at least an innermost layer, and at least a part of the sealing layers of the innermost layers are pasted to each other, and the difference in color L* value between the laser-printed portion and the non-printed portion, the adhesive strength between the sealing layers, and the lamination strength between the laser printing layer and a layer adjacent to at least one side of the laser printing layer are within predetermined ranges; and is laser-printed packaging composed of a laminated body excellent in lamination strength and visual perceptibility of printed portions without using ink containing a laser pigment.

Abstract: The invention provides a heat-shrinkable polyester film characterized by (1) a hot-water heat shrinkage rate in a width direction of the film of 40%-80% by immersing the film in hot-water at 90° C. for 10 seconds; (2) a hot-water heat shrinkage rate in a longitudinal direction of the film of 5%-10% by immersing the film in hot-water at 90° C. for 10 seconds; (3) a maximum peak height Sp on at least one surface of the film of 0.8-3.0 μm; (4) an arithmetical mean height Sa on at least one surface of the film of 0.03-0.2 μm; and (5) a degassing time for removing air from between the two identical polyester films is 14 seconds or less, wherein the films are formed by stacking a front surface of the one film on a back surface of the other film.

Abstract: A display body characterized in that there is at least one white printing layer permitting printing by means of laser irradiation; said white printing layer has a nonprinted region and a printed region at which laser printing has been carried out; and (1) through (3) are satisfied. (1) An absolute value of a difference in color L* values between the printed region and the nonprinted region is not less than 1.0 but not greater than 10.0. (2) Total luminous transmittance of the nonprinted region is not less than 8% but not greater than 50%. Abstract: The invention provides a heat-shrinkable polyester film with high heat shrinkage ratio in a main shrinkage direction and is also satisfactorily recyclable with used beverage PET bottles to produce a recycled PET resin. The heat-shrinkable polyester film comprises 95-100 mol % of dicarboxylic acid and 0-5 mol % of isophthalic acid in 100 mol % of whole dicarboxylic acid component, 85-98 mol % of ethylene terephthalate unit in 100 mol % of whole ester unit, and 2-15 mol % of diethylene glycol in 100 mol % of whole polyol component, wherein the film has the predetermined hot-water heat shrinkage ratio, as well as the melting peak temperature, the amount of exothermic heat in crystallizing, and the amount of endothermic heat in melting within the predetermined range which are determined through differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) in heating the film to be melted, quenching the film, and re-heating the film.

Abstract: A heat-shrinkable polyester film that has (1) a hot-water heat shrinkage of 40% or more in a main shrinkage direction of the film when immersed in hot water of 98° C. for 10 seconds; (2) a planar orientation coefficient of 0.035-0.070; (3) ethylene terephthalate as a main constituent component and 6-25 mol % diethylene glycol (DEG) constituent in 100 mol % of polyhydric alcohol in all the polyester resin constituting the film; (4) a maximum shrinkage stress of 2-17 MPa in the main shrinkage direction of the film when measured in hot air of 90° C.; and (5) a tensile elongation at break of 20% or more in a direction orthogonal to the main shrinkage direction after the film is aged in an atmosphere with an atmospheric temperature of 40° C. and a relative humidity of 85% for 28 days.

Abstract: Provided is a polyester film roll which has less wrinkles and film surface defects, exhibits no deviation of winding, and is suitable for secondary processing such as coating and vapor deposition. The polyester film roll is obtained by winding a biaxially oriented polyester film around a core, and is characterized by satisfying requirements (1)-(3) below: (1) the average winding hardness of the surface of the polyester film roll is in the range of 500-700; (2) the variation rate of the winding hardness of the surface of the polyester film roll in the film width direction is 1-5%; and (3) the variation rate of the average winding hardness from the surface of the polyester film roll to the core is 3-10%.

Abstract: The invention provides a heat-shrinkable polyester-based film, where the heat-shrinkage ratio in the width direction is high and the irregularity of thickness is small. The heat-shrinkable polyester-based film of the present invention contains 90 mol % or more of ethylene terephthalate unit based on 100 mol % of whole ester unit, wherein, the heat-shrinkable polyester-based film satisfies the requirements: (1) heat-shrinkage ratio in a width direction measured by shrinking the film for 10 seconds in 90° C. hot water is 50%-75%, (2) heat-shrinkage ratio in a longitudinal direction measured by shrinking the film for 10 seconds in 90° C. hot water is −6% or more and 14% or less, (3) heat-shrinkage ratio in the longitudinal direction measured by shrinking the film for 10 seconds in 70° C. hot water is -6% or more and 6% or less, and (4) irregularity of thickness in the width direction is 1%-20%.
