摘要: Multi-layer biaxially oriented compostable composite film with a sealant layer formulation has improved heat seal initiation temperature, enhanced plateau seal strength, and broadened heat seal temperature range, while optical clarity is maintained, and film modulus (noise) is reduced. The film includes a core layer comprising a PLA-rich biodegradable composite resin, and a heat sealable layer comprising 20 to 60 wt % amorphous polylactic acid resin, and 40 to 80 wt % flexible compostable polymeric modifier Y having a glass transition temperature of Tg≤0° C. and a melting temperature of 56° C.≤Tm≤90° C. Specifically, the flexible compostable polymeric modifier includes 20 to 70 wt % polybutylene succinate-co-adipate (PBSA) copolymer and 5 to 35 wt % polycaprolactone as a promoter of low heat seal initiation temperature (SIT) and hermeticity. The inventive compostable composite film is desirable to have improved home compostability.

摘要: An expanded multilayer integral geogrid includes a plurality of oriented strands interconnected by partially oriented junctions having an array of openings therein that is produced from a coextruded or laminated multilayer polymer starting sheet. The integral geogrid has a multilayer construction, with at least one inner layer thereof having a structure that is expanded relative to at least one other layer of the multiple layers. By virtue of the expanded inner layer structure, the expanded multilayer integral geogrid provides for increased layer compressibility under load, resulting in enhanced material properties that provide performance benefits to use of the expanded multilayer integral geogrid in soil geosynthetic reinforcement, and economic benefits compared to a like integral geogrid without an expanded inner layer structure.

摘要: The present invention provides packaging, which comprises a laminated body including a sealing layer and at least one laser printing layer that can undergo printing by laser irradiation, in which the laser printing layer includes a laser-printed portion printed by laser and a non-printed portion, the sealing layer is at least an innermost layer, and at least a part of the sealing layers of the innermost layers are pasted to each other, and the difference in color L* value between the laser-printed portion and the non-printed portion, the adhesive strength between the sealing layers, and the lamination strength between the laser printing layer and a layer adjacent to at least one side of the laser printing layer are within predetermined ranges; and is laser-printed packaging composed of a laminated body excellent in lamination strength and visual perceptibility of printed portions without using ink containing a laser pigment.

(2) Total luminous transmittance of the nonprinted region is not less than 8% but not greater than 50%. (3) Fractional decrease in thickness of the printed region in a cross-sectional direction is not less than 1 vol % but not greater than 80 vol % of that of the nonprinted region. A high-quality display body, with high productivity is provided.

摘要: A flexible insulation material may be configured to substantially reduce the amount of radiation transmitted therethrough by incorporating a reflective mat of high temperature fibers that withstand temperatures of at least 500° C. The flexible insulation may be stored and used over temperatures ranging from −270° C. to 5000° C. The mat may have optical properties to produce a transmittance of no more than 5% over a range of temperature from 500° C. to 5000 vC. The mat may include high temperature fibers such as carbon and/or silicon carbide and these fibers may be coupled by a binder in a non-woven fabric. The flexible insulation material may be configured in the Flexible Thermal Protection System of a deployable aerodynamic decelerator or a Hypersonic Inflatable Aerodynamic Decelerator and may be durably flexible.
