Abstract: A power storage cell includes the following configuration. The power storage cell includes a case, an electrode assembly, and an electrolyte solution. The case accommodates the electrode assembly and the electrolyte solution. The electrode assembly includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator. The separator includes a mountain-fold portion and a valley-fold portion. The mountain-fold portions and the valley-fold portions are alternately arranged in a length direction of the separator. In the mountain-fold portion, the separator is bent in a mountain-folded manner toward outside of the electrode assembly. In the valley-fold portion, the separator is bent in a valley-folded manner toward the outside of the electrode assembly. The first electrode is disposed inside the mountain-fold portion. The second electrode is disposed inside the valley-fold portion. A through hole is formed at a tip of at least one of the mountain-fold portion and the valley-fold portion.

Abstract: Provided are a cell pack having a restraint mechanism which is unlikely to be loosened or broken even when a restraining pressure is applied which is higher than, for example, in the related art, and also a method for producing and a method for disassembling the cell pack. A cell pack includes a plurality of unit cells arranged in an arrangement direction and a restraint mechanism for restraining these unit cells. The restraint mechanism includes: a first end plate portion disposed at an end portion in a first direction of the arrangement direction of the plurality of unit cells; a second end plate portion disposed at an end portion in a second direction of the arrangement direction of the plurality of unit cells; and a ring-shaped restraining hoop portion including a first support portion disposed on a surface of the first end plate portion in the first direction, a second support portion disposed on a surface of the second end plate portion in the second direction, and a pair of side wall portions continuously connecting the first support portion and the second support portion along the arrangement direction. A dimension in the arrangement direction between the first end plate portion and the second end plate portion of the restraining hoop portion is set such that a predetermined restraining pressure is applied in a direction of compressing the plurality of unit cells along the arrangement direction.

Abstract: Provided is a laminated battery module that is capable of imparting a minimum required restraining load to a battery laminate at a low temperature and a low charging rate, while also withstanding the load on the battery laminate at a high temperature and a high charging rate, without increasing the size of the restraining member. A laminated battery module 100 includes a battery laminate 15 containing one or more unit cells, a restraining member 20 containing a pair of end plates 21 located on both ends of the battery laminate 15 in the direction of lamination and tensioning members 22 that fasten the pair of end plates 21 mutually, and an elastic member 30 located between the pair of end plates 21; wherein, the elastic member 30 is composed of a material that undergoes a decrease in the elastic modulus thereof accompanying a rise in temperature from −30° C. to 80° C.

Battery modules are juxtaposed to form arrays of the battery pack in a battery pack and the battery pack is disposed between the frame members. A load transmission member is disposed in a clearance between the battery modules adjacent to each other in a width direction of the vehicle. The load transmission member is crushed in the width direction by an impact load applied from the side of the vehicle to absorb collision energy.
