    摘要: In an enclosure inspection apparatus 11, when a sealed letter 2 is inputted into a sealed letter loading station A, visual inspecting means 27 and X-ray inspecting means 33 determine thickness of the sealed letter and whether an enclosure in the sealed letter is a predetermined suspected object. The sealed letter not less than a predetermined thickness is rejected in first sorting station D, and the sealed letter which is not thicker than the predetermined thickness and in which the suspected object is not detected is conveyed as it is to second sorting station G. As for the sealed letter which is not thicker than the predetermined thickness and in which the suspected object is detected, after the suspected object in the sealed letter is positioned in a positioning station E, a suspected object inspecting station F determines whether the above-described suspected object is a predetermined object, such as an explosive or a narcotic drug, using a terahertz wave.It is possible to detect promptly the presence of the objects even if there are a large number of sealed letters.

    摘要: A power transmission apparatus includes a pulley 1 having a belt attached thereto to transmit the rotating drive force, a hub 2 which connects the pulley to a rotating shaft of a driven device, a bearing 7 which rotatably supports the pulley, and a sleeve ring 5 which is fitted and secured to the pulley and attaches the bearing to the pulley to prevent it relatively moving. The sleeve ring is provided, on its first end opposite to the driven device, with a bent portion 5b against which the bearing abuts to restrict further movement of the bearing. An annular retainer 6 is provided on the portion of the bearing adjacent to the drive device. The bearing is secured to the sleeve ring through the annular retainer by calking a second end 5a of the sleeve ring opposite to the first end. The sleeve ring is provided with a projection 5f which projects in the axial direction from the rear surface of the pulley and a casing 9 is provided with an annular groove 9c which at least partly receives therein the projection.

    摘要: Cryptographic techniques for enciphering computer messages or the like include a unit for generating a cipher program for enciphering message data or plaintext by using a plurality of kinds of basic involution processing programs and desired key data, and a unit for enciphering the message data into ciphertext by executing the generated cipher program for the message data. A part of the involution processing program includes a substitution transformation portion and a permutation transformation portion. In accordance with the bit pattern of the above key data, a sequence for executing each of the involution processing programs and a sequence for executing the substitution transformation portion and the permutation transformation portion are determined. The above plurality of transformation processes include an operation of circular shifting to the right or left by X bits and an operation of circular shifting to the right or left by Y bits, with the X and Y being mutually different numbers. An indication of detailed numerical values of the X and Y and the right or left direction for a circular shift is given by key data. According to the above structure, a part of the functions for structuring the encipherment algorithms and the sequence for executing the functions are changed by key data. With the above arrangement, a large amount of algorithm transformation patterns are generated by the product of a number of changes of a part of the functions and a sum of combinations of permutation in the sequence of executing the functions, thus making it extremely difficult to crack the algorithms.

    摘要: An admixture for cement compositions is prepared by calcining at 630.degree. to 870.degree. C. at least one substance selected from the group consisting of natural kaolin, halloysite and synthetic kaolin, effecting classification so that amorphous portions of alumina/silica having a mixing ratio of 0.5 to 1.3 form main components, with all particles having diameters up to 8 .mu.m and an average diameter of 0.5 to 2 .mu.m, and a specific gravity ranging from 2.45 to 2.55. This admixture is used to produce a cement composition such as mortar or concrete, which realizes excellent fluidity to promote workability, and a high strength structure.
