摘要： A method, product by process, and composition for aiding in pain relief. The user adds hot water to methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), then stirs the resulting mixture until the MSM is dissolved. The user then adds room temperature water, bromelain, aloe vera juice, and papain to the batch, and continues to stir. Coconut oil and palm kernel oil are stirred in, along with a sweet oil mixture. The sweet oil mixture is a mixture of natural, unconcentrated, oils such as lemon oil, sweet orange oil, arnica, sweet almond oil, peppermint oil, grape seed oil, comfrey oil, eucalyptus oil, grapefruit seed extract, and fragrance oils such as mango and kiwi. Finally, xanthan gum is stirred into the mixture, resulting in a batch of desired composition, which can be used topically for pain relief.

摘要： Provided is a more effective dental synbiotic lozenge that is intra-orally adhesive. The lozenge contains adhesive prebiotics and excipients, and one or more species of probiotic organisms. While safely adhered to an intra-oral surface, the lozenge dissolves to provide a controlled time-release of the excipients, prebiotics, and probiotic organisms over a period of hours instead of minutes. The lozenge dissolves into a malleable biofilm that includes a natural biofilm formed by the prebiotics and a supplemental biofilm formed by the excipients. The lozenge can be used while sleeping, which can increase probiotic availability exponentially. The result is a lozenge that allows for a smaller, but more diverse, microbial payload that can grow over time such that a fewer number of organisms are needed from the start. In one embodiment, the lozenge contains adhesive prebiotics acacia and inulin, along with additional excipients microcrystalline cellulose, HPMC K15, and sodium alginate.

In one embodiment, the compositions include a modified xanthan gum in an amount suitable to provide a viscous, free-flowing solution having gel-like properties. The modified xanthan gum comprises a non-pyruvylated xanthan gum, a reduced-pyruvylated xanthan gum, or a combination thereof. The composition desirably has a viscosity of greater than about 2000 cP and is characterized as having a shape retention of greater than about 50%. Also provided are methods for their preparation and use.
