    摘要: A swing down tank bracket for supporting a fuel tank mounted onto a vehicle includes a frame immovably mounted onto a vehicle, a cradle operatively connected to the frame and arranged to support a fuel tank, a hinge that pivotally connects a first end of the cradle to a first end of the frame, and a latch having a first portion disposed on a second end of the frame and a second portion disposed on a second end of the cradle. The first portion of the latch is releasably engaged with the second portion of the latch so that after the latch is disengaged, the cradle is rotationally maneuverable between a retracted position and an extended position in a single stage. The cradle may be maneuvered between the retracted position and the extended position by simultaneously rotating outwardly and downwardly in relation to the vehicle. In some embodiments, a gas spring device, connected between the cradle and the frame, retards and assists the motion of the rotating cradle in a manner that requires minimal effort on the part of the operator in loading and unloading the fuel tank from the vehicle.     摘要: An auxiliary fuel tank system includes a permanent pressure tank for natural gas or propane is mounted on a vehicle such as a fork lift truck. The auxiliary tank is connected through fuel lines to a replaceable portable tank which supplies fuel to the auxiliary tank through check valves and a valve mechanism which may be turned on and off. The auxiliary tank is filled upon initial attachment of the portable tank to the fuel line for the truck. After filling the auxiliary tank, the valve mechanism is closed only to be reopened upon exhaustion of fuel from the portable tank. Fuel lines connect the respective tanks to the engine thereby permitting operation of the engine, even upon exhaustion of fuel from the portable, replaceable tank.

    摘要: An improved stacker assembly includes a base assembly and a hollow mast which extends upwardly from the base assembly. A cap assembly is disposed on the upper end portion of the hollow mast. A carriage is movable up and down along the mast to raise and lower a load. The base assembly includes an upwardly extending mast support assembly which is telescopically received in the lower end portion of the hollow mast. The mast support assembly includes a gripper assembly which is operable to grip the inside of the lower end portion of the hollow mast. The cap assembly includes a downwardly extending cap support which is telescopically received in an upper end portion of the hollow mast and is expandable to grip the inside of the hollow mast. In the event of a loss of tension in a support cable for the carriage, a brake assembly on the carriage grips elongated brake bars which are separate from the mast to support the carriage. The brake bars are suspended from the cap assembly and are spaced apart from the mast throughout the length of the brake bars. The base assembly has accurately located wheel mounting surfaces.

    摘要: An alternative fuel system and compressed natural gas (CNG) conversion kit, primarily for smaller size industrial vehicles, such as compact loaders and lift trucks restricted in the space available in the engine compartment for the components of a CNG system where the vehicle was initially engineered for other fuel systems such as gasoline liquid petroleum gas (LPG) or diesel fuel having substantially fewer parts and components and less complex systems. A CNG tank is mounted horizontally outside of the engine compartment and a high pressure line connects from the tank to a regulator mounted inside the engine compartment for decompressing the gas to a pressure suitable for mixing with air in the carburetor of the engine. The CNG system has a refilling receptacle with an electrical interlock to the ignition preventing accidental drive-away. Within the engine compartment, a mounting arrangement takes advantage of limited space and more efficiently transmits heat from the engine cooling system to counteract the refrigeration effect due to gas decompression in the components of the system. The arrangement outside the engine compartment utilizes guarding structures to protect the high pressure lines, valves, and fittings from damage, including taking advantage of the existing vehicle structure to prevent damage from hazards in the workplace during normal operation of the vehicle.
