Abstract:
An adhesive member for bonding a liquid crystal panel to a protective panel that has a window frame portion on a bonding surface includes an adhesive layer, and a pair of protective sheets respectively temporarily attached to both surfaces of the adhesive layer. One of the pair of protective sheets has a temporary attachment-side protrusion formed thereon having the same shape and height dimensions as the window frame portion formed on the bonding surface of the protective panel, and the adhesive layer is arranged between the pair of protective sheets so as to conform to the shape and height dimensions of the temporary attachment-side protrusion on the protective sheet.
Abstract:
Methods of forming laminating adhesive articles include providing a multi-layer article, and a tool with a structured surface. The multi-layer articles include a substrate, an adhesive layer, and a liner. The multi-layer article is placed between the structured surface of the tool and a support surface that is hard and the tool is embossed against the liner by applying pressure or pressure/heat. The embossing causes the tool structures to distort the liner and the adhesive layer, and causes permanent topological changes in a portion of the adhesive layer, but does not distort the substrate. The distortion in the liner is retained upon release of the applied pressure. The portions of topologically changed adhesive can form convex structures that are permanent. Upon removal of the liner from the adhesive layer, the concave structures on the adhesive layer are unstable, but the convex structures are stable.
Abstract:
A glass protective film includes a base film formed by melting a weak adhesive polymer to be adhered to a glass plate by weak adhesion; a first surface of the base film prepared into a weak adhesive surface, which is a mirror surface; and a second surface thereof prepared into a non-adhesive surface which is a rough bead surface. Beads for preparing the rough bead surface are hexagonal, rectangular or triangular beads or ball beads prepared by cutting a film; and the ceiling reach rate of the beads of the rough bead surface is 30% or more.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A laminate and process of making the laminate is disclosed comprising: a surgical mesh having first and second surfaces; and an adhesive structure having adhesive and non-adhesive surfaces, wherein the non-adhesive surface of the adhesive structure is laminated to at least one of said first and second surfaces of said surgical mesh, and the adhesive surface of said adhesive structure has protrusions extending therefrom comprising a resin having a Young's modulus of greater than 17 MPa, which protrusions are of sufficiently low diameter to promote adhesion by increasing physical attractive forces between the adhesive structure and a target surface, as measured by shear adhesion.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an adhesive article which provides air egress. Air egress is provided by supplying a route, such as areas of no initial adhesion for the air to flow out from under the construction. The invention relates to an adhesive article comprising a facestock having a front surface and a back surface, a continuous layer of adhesive having an upper surface and a lower surface wherein the upper surface of the adhesive layer is adhered to the back surface of the facestock, and a plurality of spaced-apart non-adhesive material which is in contact with the lower surface of the adhesive layer. These articles have usefulness as industrial graphics images, as well as decorative coverings, etc. The articles provide air egress and optionally repositionability and slideability.
Abstract:
Provided are conductive laminated assemblies and conductive assembly tapes that are used thereon. The conductive laminated assemblies include a conductive foil, a pressure sensitive adhesive, a conductive element as a part of the foil or in the pressure sensitive adhesive and a conductive substrate. The conductive substrate can be a photovoltaic or solar cell.
Abstract:
Methods of making adhesive articles providing air egress by supplying a route for the air to flow out from under the construction are described. One method includes providing a release liner comprising a moldable layer having a release surface and a back surface; applying a first pattern of a first non-adhesive material to a first portion of the release surface; applying a second pattern of a second non-adhesive material to a second portion of the release surface, wherein the second pattern partially overlaps the first pattern; embedding at least one of the first or second non-adhesive materials into the moldable layer; and transferring an adhesive layer having a front and back surface and end edges onto the release liner, wherein the front surface of the adhesive layer is adhered to the release surface of the release liner.
Abstract:
The conductor-connecting member of the invention is a conductor-connecting member comprising an adhesive layer 3 formed on at least one surface of a metal foil 1, wherein the metal foil 1 comprises a plurality of projections 2 of substantially equal height integrated with the metal foil 1, on the surface on which the adhesive layer 3 is formed, and the adhesive layer 3 fills in the projections 2 so that the surface formed on the side opposite the metal foil 1 is essentially smooth.
