The guiding sleeve (38) is supported on the supporting body (48) with the front side (461) thereof, whereby the supporting body is held against the tapering (110) in a sealing manner, under the force exerted by the closing spring (40).

The fuel injection assembly further has a fluid flow restricting device configured to restrict the flow of a fluid through the needle valve element and create a fluid pressure differential between the fluid upstream and downstream of the fluid flow restricting device.

    摘要: A protection device for a lower guide system of a fuel injector includes a debris shield deflecting a fuel flow around a lower guide system and a particle trap collecting particles contained within the fuel flow. By deflecting the fuel flow towards flow passages around the lower guide system, the particles contained in the fuel flow are prevented from entering a lower guide area, such as a radial gap between the stationary components of the lower guide system and the moving component of the valve assembly. The particle trap may be defined in a lower housing of the fuel injector or may be integrated in the debris shield. The debris shield may be integral with a valve assembly or may be a separate component. A permeable area may be integrated in the debris shield to enable partial flow therethrough.

The metering orifice disc is disposed between the seat and the outlet. The metering orifice disc includes: a generally planar surface, a plurality of metering orifices that extends through the generally planar surface, the metering orifices being located radially outward of the seat orifice; and at least one flow channel having a cross-sectional area that decreases in magnitude starting at a location spaced from the longitudinal axis to proximate a perimeter of a metering orifice. A seat subassembly and a metering orifice disc are described. And a method of atomizing fuel is also described.

When the needle valve is at a low lift position, the fuel swirl portion overlaps with parts of the injection apertures so that the shape of sprayed fuel can be formed in diffusive spray having a wide spray angle. When the needle valve is at a high lift position, the shape of sprayed fuel can be formed in column-shaped spray having a narrow spray angle.

The nozzle assembly has a nozzle body (6) with a recess (8) into which a nozzle needle (10) is introduced and at one axial end of which an injection nozzle (12) is embodied. The recess (8) also has at least one cross-sectional extension which extends toward the other axial end. The recess (8) is embodied for the purpose of delivering fluid to the injection nozzle (12).
