摘要: Virtual Machine (VM) creation based on a dynamically-calculated feature set. A plurality of feature sets are identified. Each feature set in the plurality of feature sets corresponds to a different VM host node of a plurality of VM host nodes that are part of a common VM migration group, and indicates a set of features available at a corresponding VM host node. From the plurality of feature sets, a group feature set is calculated. The group feature set includes a subset of features that are common among the plurality of feature sets. A VM created within the plurality of VM host nodes is configured to use the group feature set.

Responsive to determining that the shutdown criterion is met, a request router is configured to route requests addressed to the cluster to a destination that indicates that the cluster is unavailable. A request to shut down the cluster is transmitted. A request to start the cluster is received. The request is initiated via the destination that indicates that the cluster is unavailable. In response to receiving the request to start the cluster, the cluster is started and the request router is configured to direct, to the cluster, requests addressed to the cluster.

摘要: A system and a method for overcoming a partial failure of an application in a telephony communication system are provided. The method includes: receiving information indicating that a first application has experienced a partial failure; receiving, from each of a plurality of applications, metadata that relates to a corresponding ordered priority of partitions, a corresponding Availability Zone from among a plurality of Availability Zones in which the respective application is located, and a corresponding instance index within the corresponding Availability Zone; sorting the received metadata with respect to the corresponding Availability Zone and with respect to the corresponding instance index; and reassigning, based on a result of the sorting, the first application to an instance index within the Availability Zone in which the first application is located such that a number of the partitions within instance indexes in the corresponding Availability Zone is balanced.

摘要: A remote server computing system is configured to deploy a cloud-service-managed control plane and a cloud service data plane spanning the remote server computing system, a local edge computing device, and a local on-premises computing device connected in a hybrid cloud environment. Energy-related training data is received including a plurality of energy-related training data pairs. A machine learning function is trained using the plurality of training data pairs to predict a classified label for restricted energy-related data that is not accessible to the remote server computing system. The trained machine learning function is deployed to the one or more of the local edge computing device and the local on-premises computing device via the cloud service data plane. The remote server computing system is further configured to receive, via the cloud service data plane, classified output of the trained machine learning function.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer program products for distributed scheduling in container orchestration engines are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes: configuring a plurality of entities of a container-based computing environment to perform a distributed scoring process, wherein, for a given one of the entities, the distributed scoring process comprises: (i) obtaining information corresponding to a plurality of workloads from a database that is accessible to the other entities, (ii) generating, based on the information, respective scores for at least a portion of the plurality of workloads, and (iii) publishing the generated scores to the database; and selecting, by a centralized scheduler of the container-based computing environment, at least one of the entities to host at least a given one of workloads based at least in part on the generated scores in the database.

摘要: A disclosed method may assign, with a DHCP module, two static IP addresses to each of one or more hyper-converged infrastructures nodes. The two static IP addresses may include an out of band IP address for a baseboard management controller (BMC) network interface to an OOB management network and an internal management IP address for a network interface associated with an internal management network. Disclosed methods may then access, for each of the one or more nodes, a BMC at the OOB IP address, to invoke a BMC tool to retrieve cluster configuration information for each node. A dashboard user interface may then be generated, based on the configuration retrieved for each node, and displayed. The cluster configuration information may indicate whether the node is a cluster node, comprising a node assigned to a cluster, or a free node, comprising a node not assigned to a cluster.

摘要: Systems and methods for inter-cluster deployment of compute services using federated operator components are generally described. In some examples, a first request to deploy a compute service may be received by a federated operator component. In various examples, the federated operator component may send a second request to provision a first compute resource for the compute service to a first cluster of compute nodes. In various examples, the first cluster of compute nodes may be associated with a first hierarchical level of a computing network. In some examples, the federated operator component may send a third request to provision a second compute resource for the compute service to a second cluster of compute nodes. The second cluster of compute nodes may be associated with a second hierarchical level of the computing network that is different from the first hierarchical level.

摘要: Aspects of workload reallocation within a software-defined data center (SDDC) undergoing an upgrade are described. As upgrades become available for services and other types of applications installed on a cluster of host devices within a data center, an upgrade of the installed services may be required for each of the host devices. During a cluster upgrade, the order in which hosts in the cluster are upgraded is determined as a function of evacuation costs and evacuation policies associated with each host device in the computing cluster. In addition, a maintenance cost associated with a workload needing to be evacuated from a host undergoing an upgrade is determined based on the upgrade sequence. The maintenance cost can then be used as a factor for selecting an optimal candidate host for migrating the workload to when the host the workload is currently running on is being upgraded.
