    摘要: A solid oxide fuel cell having a plurality of planar layered fuel cell units, an electrically conductive flow separator plate disposed between each of the fuel cell units, and a cathode contact material element disposed between each cathode electrode of the fuel cell units and each electrically conductive flow separator plate. The cathodes of the individual fuel cell units are modified such that the operating temperatures of the cathodes are matched with the temperatures they experience based upon their locations in the fuel cell stack. The modification involves adding to the cathode contact material and/or cathode at least one alloying agent which modifies the temperature of the cathode electrodes based upon the location of the cathode electrodes within the fuel cell stack. These alloying agents react with a component of the cathode electrode to form alloys.

    摘要: A SOFC half cell of the present invention includes: an anode functional layer (11) containing yttria-stabilized zirconia and a conductive component containing a metal oxide that changes to an electrically conductive metal in a reducing atmosphere; and a first electrolyte layer (21) containing yttria-stabilized zirconia as a main component and formed on one principal surface of the anode functional layer (11). The yttria-stabilized zirconia in the anode functional layer (11) has an yttria content of more than 9.00 mol % and 11 mol % or less, and the yttria-stabilized zirconia in the first electrolyte layer (21) has an yttria content of more than 9.00 mol % and 11 mol % or less. This half cell allows the SOFC to exhibit high power generation performance.

    摘要: In an electrolyte-electrode joined assembly (MEA), a cathode is formed on an intermediate layer stacked on a solid electrolyte. The cathode is a laminate containing at least a first layer facing the intermediate layer and a second layer disposed on the first layer. The first layer contains a perovskite-type composite oxide represented by BaxSr1-xCoyFe1-yO3 or LaxSr1-xCoyFe1-yO3. The intermediate layer has an open pore on a surface thereof facing the first layer, and the pore is filled with the first layer.
