    摘要: A gun-drill comprises a cutting-head detachably secured to a shank, having a common longitudinal axis and comprising mating peripheral surfaces. A shank coupling portion comprises a forwardly tapering shank fixation surface is formed at a front end of the shank, and a cutting-head coupling portion comprising a forwardly tapering cutting-head fixation surface is formed at a rear end of the cutting-head. Both the shank and the cutting-head coupling portion extend over a peripheral coupling angle φ of more than 180°. The shank and the cutting-head are assembled by positioning the cutting-head leading face in front of the shank trailing face, slidably inserting the cutting-head coupling portion into the shank coupling portion laterally to the axis of rotation A and rotating the cutting-head relative to the shank in a direction opposed to the direction of rotation R so that the cutting-head coupling portion and the shank coupling portion interlock co-axially.

    摘要: A solid drill bit for machine tools has a drill bit body and two indexable inserts arranged at a radial distance from one another in respective insert seats. The inserts have an essentially quadratic contour. Their front-end main cutting edges project axially beyond the drill bit body and radially overlap one another. The outer insert has an outer insert corner and a secondary cutting edge perpendicular to the main cutting edge that projects radially beyond the circumference of the drill bit body. To permit burr-free through-drilling, the main cutting edge of the outer insert is subdivided in its longitudinal extent into a radially inner working section and a rectilinear peeling section adjoining the working section and extending to the outer insert corner. The sections enclose a setting angle of 95° to 120°. The peeling section is set at a positive setting angle of 720° to 87°.

    摘要: A tool for chip removing machining, including a basic body and two replaceable cutting inserts. Each insert includes a chip-removing main edge situated between a chip surface and a clearance surface, a first insert of which precedes a second insert during machining of a workpiece. The cutting inserts overlap each other in a zone defined by a borderline along which a surface generated by the main edge of the first cutting insert, with a time delay, is intersected by the main edge of the subsequent, second cutting insert. The main edge of the second cutting insert that afterwards intersects the already generated surface, is formed along a chip surface including primary and secondary sections, which have different shapes in cross-sections spaced-apart along the main edge in order to form a primary part edge and a secondary, reinforced part edge arranged to intersect the already generated surface.

The cutter carrier is embodied in such a way that it can be used for a predetermined nominal diameter range.     摘要: A cutting tool for rotary cutting includes a rotatable basic body and a replaceable cutting part or loose top, which is connectable to the basic body via a male/female coupling, which includes a groove and a male part. The groove is formed in a front end of the basic body and is delimited by a bottom surface and two side surfaces. The male part is insertable into the groove along the axis of rotation and protrudes rearwardly from the loose top. The male part has an end surface and two flank surfaces. In the front part of the basic body a forwardly open slot is formed, which separates two elastically deflectable legs wich clamp the male part in the groove. In either the end surface or the bottom surface a recess is formed for receiving a projection on the other surface. The recess is larger than the projection in order to enable the male part to reciprocate a short distance in the groove, whereby the loose top is self-centering with respect to the axis of rotation.
