摘要: A cooling member for cooling a battery cell includes an upper plate, a lower plate, and an in-out port for injecting cooling water into an inner space between the upper plate and the lower plate. The cooling member includes an indentation part formed by introducing the upper plate into the lower plate or introducing the lower plate into the upper plate. A first indentation part is formed in the edge part of the cooling member. A second indentation part is formed in the central part of the cooling member. A sealing pad is located between the upper plate and the lower plate that form the first indentation part.

摘要: A box includes a frame, a base plate, a fastener, a sealing member, and a connecting member. The base plate and the frame enclose an accommodating cavity. The fastener includes a body, a flange portion, and a stop portion. The flange portion is disposed at one end of the body. The stop portion is formed around the body. At least part of the frame and at least part of the base plate are sandwiched between the flange portion and the stop portion. An annular boss is formed on a side of the flange portion farther away from the body. The sealing member fits around and abuts against the annular boss. The connecting member is configured to connect to the fastener so that the sealing member is sandwiched between the flange portion and the connecting member.

摘要: Proposed are a chiller operation system for ESS batteries and an operating method thereof. The system includes an ESS battery, a battery control unit that controls charging and discharging of the ESS battery, a chiller unit that cools the ESS battery according to a cooling control signal during charging and discharging of the ESS battery, an environmental sensor that measures detected temperature and detected humidity in a condensation occurrence area, a cooling control unit that performs heat management by providing the cooling control signal, calculates the dew point temperature using the detected temperature and the detected humidity, and provides a dehumidification control signal when condensation is predicted, and an air conditioning unit that operates in dehumidifying operation mode for the ESS battery according to the dehumidification control signal.

摘要: Lithium ion batteries and battery modules are disclosed. The lithium ion battery includes a housing where a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte are provided. Some of the areas of the housing are made from the fusible material. When the temperature in the housing exceeds a set threshold, the area, made from the fusible material, on the housing is communicated, where the electrolyte flows out to separate from the positive electrode and the negative electrode. Timely separation of the electrolyte in the single lithium ion battery is achieved when the temperature thereof rises abnormally, the electrolyte is effectively protected from being ignited or decomposed, the single lithium ion battery is protected from being ignited and exploded, and damages to the rest surrounding single lithium ion batteries caused by a chain reaction brought by the single lithium ion battery of which the temperature rises abnormally are avoided.

摘要: An example battery module includes: a housing; a cell stack assembly mounted within the housing and comprising a plurality of cell stacks, each cell stack comprising a plurality of cells separated by respective thermal pads, wherein cell stacks of the plurality of cell stacks are separated by respective thermal barrier plates, wherein each cell of the plurality of cells comprises one or more cell tabs; a first compression plate disposed at a first end of the cell stack assembly; a second compression plate disposed at a second end of the cell stack assembly, such that the cell stack assembly is interposed and compressed between the first compression plate and the second compression plate; and a cell tab divider plate mounted to the cell stack assembly, wherein the cell tab divider plate comprises a plurality of slits that accommodate the one or more cell tabs of each cell therethrough.

摘要: Presented are thermal management systems with cell-level internal cooling for multicell battery assemblies, methods for making/using such systems, and vehicles equipped with such systems. A battery assembly includes one or more battery cells located inside a battery housing. Each battery cell includes a cell case with a coolant tube located inside the cell case and opening through a case wall. A cold plate assembly, which is located inside the battery housing and attached to the battery cell(s), includes stacked first and second plates, a coolant intake shaft projecting from the first plate into the coolant tube, and a coolant exhaust shaft projecting from the second plate into the coolant intake shaft and coolant tube. The cold plate assembly circulates coolant between the stacked plates, into each cell case via the coolant tube and coolant intake shaft, and out of each cell case via the coolant tube and coolant exhaust shaft.
