    摘要: A method of cleaning an screen in a manufacturing process step that employs a chamber including a drain line having a screen configured and disposed in the chamber above the drain line to trap soluble materials includes detecting a build-up of soluble material on the screen, ceasing a work operation in the chamber, and initiating a screen cleaning operation. The screen cleaning operation includes closing a computer operated valve fluidly connected to the drain line to fluidly isolate a portion of the chamber, automatically introducing an amount of solvent into the chamber once the computer operated valve is closed with the amount of solvent filling the chamber and/or the drain line to fully immerse the screen, and opening the operated valve after a predetermined amount of time to empty the chamber and the drain line of solvent once the soluble materials trapped on the screen are dissolved.

    摘要: The method of forming a filter cake from a slurry comprising the steps of feeding the slurry into a filter housing, wherein the filter housing includes a plurality of vertical filter elements; pressing the slurry into the filter housing against the filter elements resulting in i) a filtrate passing through the filter elements and exiting out an exhaust port of the filter housing; ii) forming a solid cake on the filter elements; feeding a wash liquid into the filter housing while draining out the slurry by opening the slurry drain valve; closing the slurry drain valve and then continually feeding wash liquid through the cake and into the filter tube of the filter housing; stopping the feed of wash liquid; introducing a gas into the filter housing and draining out the wash liquid by opening a bottom drain valve; stopping the gas flow and opening a drain to exit most of the gas and remaining wash liquid; opening the bottom cake discharge valve; and back pulsing by a gas to break and to release the filter cake from the filter elements of the filter housing.

    摘要: The disclosed self-cleaning filtration system and self-cleaning filter solves various problems by replacing a standard filter cartridge with an adapter screwed in place of the cartridge, a filter of limited size with a motor for rotating an inlet cover plate and an outlet cover plate over a body with a plurality of longitudinal channels inside of a circumferential filtration media where the different parts of the media are used alternately in forward and backward flow. As the cover plates rotate, each longitudinal channel comes in successive fluidic communication with either an entry opening where oil is pushed in the longitudinal channel through the filtration media and into an external cavity where filtered oil is reintroduced in the engine, or the longitudinal channel comes in fluidic communication with a drain opening where the flow through the filtration media is reversed and oil from the external cavity is pushed back into the longitudinal channel to transport stored debris into a decanter for storage, elimination, decantation and reuse. In another embodiment, instead of entry and drain openings, the oil is placed directly in contact with each longitudinal channel with the exception of the channel in fluidic communication with the drain opening. The self-filtration system includes a self-cleaning filter used in tandem with an adapter, a decanter, and a series of hoses.

    摘要: The present invention provides a PVDF porous film, which has high water permeability and high chemical resistance to washing chemicals and the like that has been difficult to realize with conventional polymer porous films, and which can be used over a prolonged period of time; and a method of producing the same and the like. Namely, the present invention provides a porous film in which the degree of crystallization of the PVDF resin is 50% or more but not more than 90%, and the product of the degree of crystallization of the PVDF resin and the specific surface area of the film is 300 (%·m2/g) or more but not more than 2000 (%·m2/g). In addition, the present invention provides a method for producing a porous film comprising: producing a porous film having a PVDF resin as a main component thereof by extruding, from a molding nozzle, a film-forming solution which at least comprises a hydrophobic polymer component having a PVDF resin as a main component thereof, a hydrophilic polymer component and a common solvent for both the hydrophobic and hydrophilic polymer components, and solidifying the film-forming solution in a solution having water as a main component thereof, wherein polyethylene glycol having a weight average molecular weight of 20,000 or more but not more than 150,000 is used as the hydrophilic polymer component.
