Abstract: A method and an evolved Node B (eNB) for receiving Channel Status Information (CSI) in a wireless access system are discussed. The method according to an embodiment includes transmitting a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH); and receiving CSI including a Channel Quality Indication (CQI) index associated with the PDSCH. The CQI index is selected from one of a first CQI table for supporting up to a 64 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) scheme and a second CQI table for supporting up to a 256 QAM scheme. CQI indices 12 to 15 of the first CQI table are used for the 64 QAM scheme and CQI indices 12 to 15 of the second CQI table are used for the 256 QAM scheme. A size of each of the first and the second CQI tables is the same.

Abstract: In this application, a method for a terminal reporting to a base station a channel quality indicator (CQI) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. More specifically, the method comprises the steps of: calculating a precoding matrix index and a rank indicator; and selecting and reporting the CQI index from one of a first CQI index table and a second CQI index table under the assumption that the precoding matrix index and the rank indicator are applied, wherein the first CQI index table and the second CQI index table indicate a modulation order and a coding rate indicated by the CQI index, and the second CQI index table supports a higher modulation order than the first CQI index table.

Abstract: A method for estimating a channel status by a base station in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: obtaining an uplink channel matrix by using a sounding reference signal (SRS) received from a terminal; transmitting a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) through at least some antenna devices in a two-dimensional antenna array of the base station; receiving a channel quality indicator (CQI) calculated on the basis of the CSI-RS transmission; and obtaining, through a predetermined correction factor obtained on the basis of the CQI and the uplink channel matrix, a downlink channel matrix for the entire two-dimensional antenna array comprising the remaining antenna devices through which the CSI-RS is not transmitted.

Abstract: A method is provided for transmitting uplink data. The method is performed by a machine type communication (MTC) device that transmits initially a bundle of repeated physical uplink shared channels (PUSCHs) including same uplink data to a base station on a plurality of uplink subframes, receives a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) response signal from the base station in response to the bundle of repeated PUSCHs, receives an indication of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) repetition number from the base station, determines a repetition number of a PUSCH including the same uplink data based on the indication, when the HARQ response signal is a negative-acknowledgement (NACK), and retransmits the bundle of repeated PUSCHs according to the determined repetition number of the PUSCH on the plurality of uplink subframes, to the base station. The indication is included in a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) field of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH).
