Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application is a method by which a terminal having a plurality of distributed antenna groups transmits and receives a signal in a wireless communication system. Particularly, the method comprises the steps of: calculating channel quality indicators for each of distributed antenna groups; selecting a preferred distributed antenna group among the distributed antenna groups on the basis of the channel quality indicators; and reporting information on the channel quality indicators to a base station, wherein the method further comprises a step for reporting information on the preferred distributed antenna group to the base station when the preferred distributed antenna group differs from the preselected specific distributed antenna group.
Abstract:
The present application discloses a method for transmitting, by a base station, a broadcast channel through a massive multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) antenna in a wireless communication system. Specifically, the method comprises the steps of: selecting broadcast channel dedicated antenna elements from among all antenna elements of the massive MIMO antenna; and transmitting the broadcast channel by performing a beamforming using the broadcast channel dedicated antenna elements. In the present invention, the power applied to the broadcast channel dedicated antenna elements in greater than the voltage applied to the remaining antenna elements.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a method for transmitting a reference signal from a base station to a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The method includes mapping the reference signal defined by a plurality of antenna ports to resource elements, applying precoding to the reference signal using different precoders according to the plurality of antenna ports, and transmitting the precoded reference signal to the UE.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting data in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes generating duplicate data by using repetition coding, the duplicate data being the same as original data, shifting the phase of the duplicate data, and transmitting the original data and the phase-shifted duplicate data. The duplicate data is mapped to a modulation symbol having a different size or phase as that of the original data, thus to reduce the PAPR unlike the general repetition coding.
Abstract:
A method for performing hierarchical beamforming in a wireless access system and a device therefor are disclosed. Particularly, the method comprises: an initial step for allowing a base station to transmit a plurality of first beams, to which different steering vectors are applied, to a terminal through corresponding reference signals, and a repetition step for allowing the base station to transmit a plurality of second beams, to which different steering vectors are applied, to the terminal through corresponding reference signals by considering feedback information that contains an index of one or more beams received from the terminal, wherein the repetition step can be repeated up to a predetermined number of times.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting channel status information (CSI) via uplink in a wireless communication system includes transmitting a first precoding matrix indicator (PMI) and a second PMI at a subframe. A subsampled codebook for each of a precoding codebook for Rank-1 and a precoding codebook for Rank-2 is determined based on at least the first PMI or the second PMI. In case of the Rank-1 or the Rank-2, a number of elements for the first PMI is 8.

Abstract:
A method for downlink beamforming in a wireless access system and a device therefor are disclosed. Specifically, the method comprises the following steps: transmitting, by an eNB, a reference signal to a UE through only a first antenna set from among whole antennas; receiving, by the eNB, channel state information (CSI) for the first antenna set from the UE; and transmitting, by the eNB, beamforming a downlink channel by using a precoding matrix for the whole antennas, wherein CSI for a second antenna set by which the reference signal has not been transmitted from among the whole antennas is calculated using the CSI for the first antenna set.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing handover by a user equipment (UE) in a C-RAN system is disclosed. The method for performing handover by a user equipment (UE) in a Cloud Radio Access Network (C-RAN) includes: measuring at least one candidate remote radio head (RRH); transmitting feedback information caused by the measurement to a primary RRH; and receiving information regarding a changed primary RRH according to the measurement result received from the primary RRH, wherein the measurement is performed to discriminate each RRH on the basis of a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) antenna port discriminated per the at least one candidate RRH.
