When a phosphor for ultraviolet excitation or visible light excitation is excited by light having wavelengths in a range of 100 to 500 nm and emission colors of the phosphor are represented by xy coordinates, the phosphor has a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of x coordinates and a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of y coordinates which are respectively 0.020 or less. A light-emitting device includes a light-emitting part which contains at least such a phosphor. The light-emitting part emits visible light when irradiated with ultraviolet or visible light emitted from an excitation source.

A display device includes a display panel for displaying images, a chassis base, at least one circuit board fixed to a planar surface of the chassis base and at least one connection cable electrically connecting the at least one circuit board to the display panel. At least one connection cable having at least one discharge element is mounted within the at least one connection cable. A cover plate is fixed to the chassis base and supporting the at least one discharge element. The cover plate has a heat resistant medium located between the cover plate and the discharge element and may include at least one discharge element alignment mark indicating a discharge element supporting area on the cover plate. The discharge element alignment mark is located on a surface of the cover plate facing the at least one discharge element.

An electrode in a plasma display panel and a fabrication process thereof that is capable of reducing a line width of the electrode without increasing a resistance component of the electrode. In the method, a bus electrode is provided by laminating a metal film on a certain substrate and then patterning it. A transparent electrode is provided on the substrate in a shape of surrounding the bus electrode. Accordingly, the electrode is provided by the metal film such that a limit for a selection in a width or thickness of the electrode, so that a line width of the electrode can be reduced to improve the visible light transmissivity and the electrode is formed into a large thickness instead of making a minute electrode width to lower the resistance component, thereby reducing a power consumption of the PDP.
