Abstract:
The present invention relates to a door operating system for controlling the movement of a door, more particularly to “no touch” door openers for public washrooms and households. The system has a motor with a gear chain where the high gear is generally semicircularly shaped engaged with a swinging arm coupled with the door through the roller and a pilot plate. The unit is activated upon receipt of the signal from overhead passive infrared or hand proximity detecting sensors and has a controlling system to provide for opening and closing the door, as well as retraction of the arm in the event of door encountering an obstacle or in an overload condition of the motor. The arm and a gear are linked pivotally with each other and with the unit housing. They are coupled through a spring suspension system and have a clutch mechanism preventing overloading. The only external moving part is the arm, which is, along with geared sector, protected by a flexible member providing security to prevent accidental jamming of objects by it. The unit may be battery operated with a low voltage and low power AC/DC switching wall adapter. In autonomous operation it can provide up to 700 opening cycles without external power.
Abstract:
A device for opening and closing a pivotally mounted door leaf including an actuator, which is displaceably and/or rotatingly arranged in a housing and connected to the door leaf and which, during displacement/rotation, actuates the door leaf, and a drive motor which is connected to the actuator for providing displacement/rotation thereof.
Abstract:
An actuating mechanism includes a motor, a tube, a transmission, a shank, a worm, a worm wheel, and a spring; the tube has a steel roll-up curtain connected thereto, and can be turned in one direction for winding the curtain around it, and in the other direction for unwinding the curtain; the transmission is joined to an output shaft of the motor and the tube; the shank is joined to a main body of the motor and the worm wheel; the worm has a toothed side for engaging the worm wheel, and it has a straight side facing in an opposite direction to that of the toothed side; the spring is fixed at one end, and securely joined to the transmission at other end; the roll-up curtain can be manually opened and closed without power supply to the motor after the worm is disengaged from the worm wheel.
Abstract:
An apparatus for automatically opening a swinging restroom door is provided. The apparatus comprises an actuator, a control unit, and a power assisted drive mechanism that can be connected to an existing door closing mechanism. The actuator comprises a proximity sensor and further comprises a series of iconic symbols corresponding to predetermined proximity zones. The control unit is in electronic communication with the actuator with which signals are exchanged. The power assisted drive mechanism is in electronic communication with the control unit and can be connected to an existing door closing mechanism wherein the actions of the door closing mechanism are reversed and the door is opened.

Abstract:
A gate operator in a first configuration opens and closes a gate that swings about an upstanding pivotal axis. In a second configuration the gate operator opens and closes a gate that extends and retracts along a straight line. A motor-driven wheel extends from the bottom of an open-bottomed enclosure and is perpendicular to the gate in the first configuration and parallel to the gate in the second configuration. The wheel is driven by a reversible DC motor. Turning a jack screw in a first direction increases the bias on an adjustable compression spring so that the weight of the gate is transferred to the wheel and rotation of the jack screw in an opposite direction shifts weight from the wheel to the gate.
Abstract:
Piece of furniture with a movable furniture component, in particular a drawer or door, a drive unit and a device for the mechanical transmission of force from the drive unit to the movable furniture component or the body of the furniture, in particular a pin arranged on a lever that can be powered by the drive unit, for the ejection and/or insertion of the movable furniture component, the device for the mechanical transmission of force (4) being arranged in a guide track (8) for the transmission of tensile and thrust forces.
Abstract:
A universal power operator for shifting a movable barrier, such as a gate, and a circuit control system for operation thereof, is shown that allows the operator to be assembled for both a left-hinged or right-hinged movable barrier. The universal power operator includes generally an actuator arm, a housing assembly, a gear assembly, and a modular drive motor. The housing assembly contains generally symmetrical portions allowing the user to interchangeably assemble the motor in one of two positions for use with a left-hinged or right-hinged movable barrier.
Abstract:
A guide rail assembly for moving a closure panel of a motor vehicle between an open position and a closed position includes a guide rail fixedly secured to the motor vehicle. A slide mechanism slidably engages the guide rail. A rod has one end coupled to the slide mechanism and an opposing end coupled to the closure panel to move the closure panel as the slide mechanism slides along the guide rail. A drive is fixedly secured to the guide rail for selectively driving the slide mechanism along the guide rail. A clasp is operatively secured to the slide mechanism for selectively coupling the drive to the slide mechanism such that the drive moves the slide mechanism along the guide rail to move the closure panel between the open and closed positions when the slide mechanism is coupled with the drive.
Abstract:
A system for raising and lowering a sectional overhead door between an open position and a closed position including, a counterbalance system adapted to be connected to the door, an operator motor assembly mounted proximate to the sectional overhead door in the closed position of the sectional overhead door, at least a portion of the operator motor assembly movable between a door operating position and a door locking position, and a locking assembly (370) having an engaged position to hold the motor assembly in the operating position and a disengaged position to release the motor assembly allowing it to move to the door locking position. The system may be provided with a remote light assembly having a switchable light source in sensing communication with the operator motor such that operation of the motor activates the light source. The system is further provided with a handle assembly (515) operatively engaging the motor assembly (40) and counterbalance system (30) to selectively disconnect the motor assembly (40) from the counterbalance system (30), whereby urging of a rotatable handle (516) to a disconnect position (516′) allows the door (D) to be manually freely moveable with the aid of the counterbalance system (30).
