A method of controlling an operation of an induction actuated container cover includes the steps of (a) normally retaining a cover panel of the container cover in a closed position; (b) detecting a target movement of a user by a sensor; (c) generating a first actuating signal to an actuation unit when the sensor detects the target movement of the user; (d) generating an actuation output from the actuation unit to the cover panel of the container cover, wherein the actuation output contains a decelerating and torque enhancing force which moves the cover panel of the container cover at an opened position; (e) pivotally actuating the cover panel of the container cover at the opened position via the actuation output to expose a storage cavity, and (f) generating a second actuating signal to pivotally actuate the cover panel of the container cover back to the closed position.

Exemplary embodiments provide semiconductor devices including high-quality (i.e., defect free) group III-N nanowires and uniform group III-N nanowire arrays as well as their scalable processes for manufacturing, where the position, orientation, cross-sectional features, length and the crystallinity of each nanowire can be precisely controlled. A pulsed growth mode can be used to fabricate the disclosed group III-N nanowires and/or nanowire arrays providing a uniform length of about 10 nm to about 1000 microns with constant cross-sectional features including an exemplary diameter of about 10-1000 nm. In addition, high-quality GaN substrate structures can be formed by coalescing the plurality of GaN nanowires and/or nanowire arrays to facilitate the fabrication of visible LEDs and lasers. Furthermore, core-shell nanowire/MQW active structures can be formed by a core-shell growth on the nonpolar sidewalls of each nanowire.
Abstract:
This invention provides antibodies that bind brain endothelial cell receptors resulting in endocytosis/transcytosis of the receptor and bound ligands. In some embodiments, the ligand comprises the antibody in combination with a pharmaceutically active compound and the antibody directs delivery of the compound across the blood brain barrier (BBB). The invention also provides methods of identifying endothelial cell specific antibodies by panning the library against cultured cell monolayers. The invention further allows for identifying endothelial cell receptors that bind the antibody thereby providing target receptors against which to isolate further cognate ligands and their associated transport systems and by which to identify transcytosis transporters targeted by the antibodies.

The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for enabling at least one location-based service between an originating party and a destination party on a wireless network. The method comprises integrating access to the at least one location-based service substantially simultaneously with an offering of at least one multi-media service for voice and data over the wireless network. The method further comprises initiating the at least one location-based service in response to receiving an inquiry from the originating party for determining a network location of a target mobile terminal associated with the destination party. A service platform may generate substantially simultaneously multi-media services including a location-based service based on location information of a destination user in a wireless network, such as a mobile data network.

An enhanced library accessible by an EDA tool can include a base curve database and a plurality of curve data sets. Each curve data set refers to a standard cell having certain timing characteristics. To determine those timing characteristics, each curve data set identifies at least one base curve (in the base curve database) as well as a starting current, a peak current, a peak voltage, and a peak time. In one embodiment, each base curve can be normalized. The base curve(s), the starting current, peak current, peak voltage, and peak time can accurately model the functioning of the IC device, e.g. represented by an I(V) curve.
