Abstract:
A mini-environment control device includes an individual enclosure to contain a sample and to isolate it from the external environment. An array of micropumps attached to the individual enclosure generates and maintains a controlled vacuum in the individual enclosure. Transfer means introduce the sample into the individual enclosure and extract it therefrom. The micropumps of the array of micropumps can be of a type employing the thermal transpiration effect. Temperature and pressure microsensors and a gas analyzer enable the operation of the array of micropumps to be controlled by an onboard microcomputer. The atmosphere surrounding a sample is therefore controlled.
Abstract:
Molecular pump of the high-vacuum type provided with a cylindrical drum on which helical grooves having a depth which decreases from the suction end to the discharge end, are cut, separated by low walls whose thickness increases from a point where the compression ratio becomes sufficiently high to cause great lateral leakages. Channels for draining that flux, blind on the suction side, are cut in these walls.
Abstract:
Improvement to devices enabling thin layers of conductive substances to be deposited on a substrate arranged in a container maintained under a very low pressure. A cavity, contained in the vacuum container, and bearing the substance to be deposited, is maintained at a sufficiently high pressure for an arc operation discharge to be primed therein. Electromagnetic energising means sets up a plasma in this cavity. An opening formed in the cavity is arranged facing the substrate.
Abstract:
Device for producing thin layers of mineral substances comprising a vacuum container and a cavity whose walls consist of the substance to be deposited, and having an opening in one of its faces. An electromagnetic field is generated in the cavity to form a plasma.
Abstract:
Decoder having modular constitution for transmission by coded pulses constituted by several identical individual modules wired up and interconnected so as to perform, in interrelation, various elementary functions of the decoding. Each of the individual modules comprises four operational amplifiers, an output amplifier, a switching device selectively connecting the output of one operational amplifier to the input of the output amplifier, and a logic control circuit responsive to coded bits to actuate the switching device.
Abstract:
Phase correction device for a 2880 c/s carrier which is used for transporting the received band to the basic band (0 - 2400 c/s), the correction being based on characteristics relating to the form of the signal in the basic band.
Abstract:
Binary coding device for the facsimile transmission of pictures of a document. The voltage representative of each point of the document is compared with a variable reference signal sent out by a generator having a control circuit comprising a counting element whose variation is controlled by a clock conditioned by the signal coming from the comparator and the state of counting so that the reference voltage may vary cyclically, in steps, between two limit values as long as the signal coming from the comparator remains at a first logic level.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a device for the synchronizing, at the receiving end, of a sequence of bits used for identifying the instant at which a telegraphic transition appears in intervals of time having a uniform length, that synchronizing being based on a counting of intervals not comprising a transition.
