Abstract:
A light valve device includes a light valve disposed adjacent to a circuit board, and a heat-dissipating structure including a heat-dissipating main body and a heat-dissipating block. The heat-dissipating main body is disposed opposite to the light valve, and is formed with a groove defined by a first contacting surface and two engaging surfaces. The first contacting surface extends in a longitudinal direction perpendicular to the vertical direction and has two opposite longitudinal edges. The engaging surfaces respectively extend from the longitudinal edges and define an open side of the groove opposite to the first contacting surface in the vertical direction. The open side has a width in the transverse direction smaller than that of the first contacting surface. An engaging portion of the heat-dissipating block is disposed in the groove so that a second contacting surface is in contact with the first contacting surface.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display (LCD) with a perfume dispenser is disclosed to include a casing, which has an internal chamber, a front opening, and at least one through hole, a liquid crystal display mounted inside the internal chamber of the casing with the display screen thereof facing to the front opening of the casing, and a perfume dispenser mounted inside the casing adjacent to the at least one through hole for giving off a pleasant smell upon operation of the LCD.
Abstract:
A kidney failure therapy system includes: (a) a dilaysate supply; (b) at least one valve actuator; (c) at least one pump actuator; and (d) a disposable unit including first and second flexible sheets sealed together for form: (i) at least one flow path configured to be placed in fluid communication with the dilaysate supply; and operable with the at least one valve actuator; and (ii) at least one pumping portion configured to operate with the at least one pump actuator.
Abstract:
A display device includes a display unit having a front surface for display, a rear surface formed with a vertical row of spaced-apart positioning hole units, and a bottom side. A supporting unit includes a first supporting rod that is connected pivotally to the rear surface of the display unit, that is disposed adjacent to the bottom side, and that is adapted to abut against a supporting surface, and a second supporting rod connected pivotally to the first supporting rod and having a free end formed with a positioning stub that engages a selected one of the positioning hole units in the rear surface of the display unit so that an acute angle is formed between the first and second supporting rods, thereby supporting the display unit on the supporting surface.
Abstract:
A light source module comprises a case, a light source, a first air-circulation device, a second air-circulation device and an airflow guide. The case has an airflow outlet, and other components are disposed therein. The airflow guider includes a first stream-guiding part and a second stream-guiding part connected thereto. The first stream-guiding part and the airflow outlet are at a same side of the light source, the second stream-guiding part is over the light source. The first airflow provided by the first air-circulation device passes past the light source, arrives at the first stream-guiding part, flows from the front of the light source towards the back of the light source guided by the second stream-guiding part, and mixes up with the second airflow provided by the second air-circulation device and finally exits from the airflow outlet. Therefore, concentrated heat is prevented at the airflow outlet.
Abstract:
A method of unblinding an alignment mark comprising the following steps. A substrate having a cell area and an alignment mark within an alignment area is provided. An STI trench is formed into the substrate within the cell area. A silicon oxide layer is formed over the substrate, filling the STI trench and the alignment mark. The silicon oxide layer is planarized to form a planarized STI within the STI trench and leaving silicon oxide within the alignment mark to form a blinded alignment mark. A wet chemical etchant is applied within the alignment mark area over the blinded alignment mark to at least partially remove the silicon oxide within the alignment mark. The remaining silicon oxide is removed from within the blinded alignment mark to unblind the alignment mark. A drop etcher apparatus is also disclosed.

Abstract:
A system for controlling and monitoring a rate of flow of a fluid, such as a CMP slurry, comprising a pump for pumping the slurry; a flow meter for monitoring the rate of flow of the slurry; and a controller operably connected to the flow meter and the pump. The controller receives signals from the flow meter indicating the rate of flow of the slurry and controls the operational speed of the pump responsive to the flow meter signals. A degasser equipped with a level sensor may be further provided in the system for removing gas bubbles from the slurry.
Abstract:
The connector comprises an elongated slot and two end shoulders each including two arms, a groove between the arms, two flexible spaced walls behind the groove, two inner indentations, a hole recessed into either indentation, and a cavity; and two fastening mechanisms each including a trigger member, an inward protrusion, a latched piece at either side below the protrusion, a lower inward projection, and two pivot bars below the latched piece, the pivot bars being fitted into the holes for pivotably connecting the fastening mechanisms in the cavity. In fastening align pins of the card with the slot prior to insertion and pivot the fastening mechanisms inward until the protrusions are snapped into side recesses of the card and the latched pieces are urged against the walls respectively, thereby further inserting the pins into the slot for widthwise and lengthwise fastening the card.
Abstract:
A system and method are disclosed for reading a multilevel signal from an optical disc. The method includes reading a raw analog data signal from a disc using an optical detector and adjusting the amplitude of the raw analog data signal. A timing signal is recovered from the amplitude adjusted analog data signal and correction is made for amplitude modulation of the raw analog data signal by processing the raw analog data signal and the timing signal.
