Abstract:
To provide with a navigation apparatus capable of efficient route guidance in which a date on which route guidance process is performed coincides with an available date and time, and in consideration with a stay length. The navigation apparatus in this implementation is provided with a GPS reception section, a sensor section, a map data storage section in which data such as map data is recorded in advance, and a system control section which generates design data and performs process management on the basis of the generated design data. The system control section searches routes on the basis of spot data groups related to an extracted destination, generates route data on the basis of the search results, the spot data and an input departure time, and manages route guidance on the basis of the generated route data.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method of mounting a semiconductor laser component capable of preventing deterioration of laser characteristics and destruction of the semiconductor laser component due to a rise in temperature and a residual stress of the semiconductor laser component, wherein the semiconductor laser component is mounted on a submount by heating and pressure-bonding, and is heated again up to a temperature more than a melting point of a bonding member at the released pressure to release the residual stress.
Abstract:
When the quick traverse play back command (or, quick returning play back command) of the audio information by the compression audio information is given to the play back apparatus, by the control of the control section, the special audio according to the temporarily stored data stored in the first storage means is repeatedly played back, instead of the play back of the audio by the ordinary play back operation.
Abstract:
A filtering device is disclosed that can be made compact and has wide-band band-pass characteristics. The filtering device includes a first filtering unit that is composed of a distributed constant circuit and is capable of eliminating a first frequency component or a second frequency component wherein the second frequency being higher than the first frequency, and a second filtering unit that attenuates components of frequencies lower than the first frequency or components of frequencies higher than the second frequency.
Abstract:
An actuator includes magnets that are arranged in a flat form, coils that face the magnets, a moving member that is connected to the coils, a first holding member that holds the moving member in such a manner that the moving member can slide within a predetermined range; and a second holding member that holds the first holding member in such a manner that the first holding member can slide within a predetermined range in a direction perpendicular to the sliding direction of the moving member. This actuator moves the coils against the magnets.
Abstract:
A multidirectional input device includes ring-shaped resistance element layer 18, first conductive layer 22 and second conductive layer 23 shaping in arcs corresponding to resistance element layer 18, and knob 14 having ring-shaped protruded section 14D. Resistance element layer 18 has at least a pair of electrodes and is formed on flexible insulating substrate 16. Protruded section 14D brings resistance element layer 18 into contact with first conductive layer 22 or second conductive layer 23 when the knob is tilted. When a given voltage is applied to the electrodes and the knob is tilted, resistance element layer 18 comes in contact with first conductive layer 22 or second conductive layer 23, so that an output signal of a high resolution concerning a tilt angle can be obtained. The output signal is supplied to a microprocessor and calculated, then an angle or a direction is detected and recognized.
Abstract:
A multidirectional control switch of the present invention is used in a variety of electronic apparatuses including a portable telephone and a personal digital assistant. A first switch contact of this switch outputs a first signal continuously varying as a top surface of a substantially disc-shaped operating member undergoes a sliding press along a locus substantially in arc form. With a stronger press, a second switch contact outputs a second signal. The multidirectional control switch has a simple structure and can be reduced in size because these two switch contacts are integrally formed, thereby eliminating a need to combine discrete elements.
Abstract:
When elastic driver (13) tilts, elastic pressing portion (13B) thereof depresses the upper face of flexible insulated substrate (15), thereby bringing circular-ring-like upper resistor layer (16) on the bottom face of flexible insulated substrate (15) into partial contact with lower conductor layer (17) opposed to the upper resistor layer. In this state, a computing unit (not shown) recognizes the tilt direction and the tilt angle of elastic driver (13) according to information from leads of upper resistor layer (16) and lower conductor layer (17).
Abstract:
A rotatively-operated electronic component with a push switch includes a rotatable operation knob. A rotary contact plate is connected to the operation knob for motion together with the operation knob. Resilient contact arms provided on an attachment base plate touch the rotary contact plate. The resilient contact arms and the contact plate cooperate to generate an electric signal in response to rotation of the operation knob. A drive member connected to the attachment base plate rotatably supports the rotary contact plate. The drive member is swingable relative to the attachment base plate. The drive member is allowed to swing relative to the attachment base plate by application of a force to the operation knob. A push switch portion is supported on the attachment base plate. The push switch portion is actuated in response to swing of the drive member relative to the attachment base plate by the application of the force to the operation knob.
