Abstract:
A saddle-type vehicle can be configured to perform idle-stop during deceleration corresponding to a driver's demand. In some embodiments, the vehicle comprises a bar handle mounted on its opposite tip ends with a grasping grip grasped by the driver and a throttle grip for accelerator operation; two operation controls for performing braking operation, at least one of which being a first brake and a second brake mounted on tip ends of the bar handle; and an engine controller for automatically stopping an engine and making the engine an idle-stop state. In some cases, the saddle-type vehicle further comprises a judgment controller for judging whether a simultaneous operation of the first and second brakes has been achieved; and the engine controller performs the idle-stop during deceleration of the vehicle when the judgment controller judges that the simultaneous operation of the first and second brakes has been performed.
Abstract:
A rivet setter which can efficiently and smoothly perform the rivet setting operation even when setting rivets each having a shank of its length smaller than a diameter of its head. The rivet setter can be configured to set a rivet sequentially fed one by one from a rivet supplying means by inserting the rivet into apertures formed at predetermined positions on workpieces. The rivet setter can comprise delivery paths for delivering the rivet one by one by forcing the rivet to be slid down to a settable position. The rivet setter can include notches formed on the bottom surfaces of the delivery paths along the rivet delivery direction and extending to the settable position for supporting the head of the rivet in the course of delivery of the rivet on the delivery paths and for hanging the shank of the rivet downward.
Abstract:
A power transmitting apparatus which can suppress the rotational vibrations by suppressing rotation of the pressure member relative to the clutch member is provided. The power transmitting apparatus can comprise a clutch housing rotatable together with an input member and a plurality of driving-side clutch discs mounted thereon; a clutch member with a plurality of driven-side clutch discs mounted thereon and interleaved with the driving-side clutch discs; and a pressure member axially movably relative to the clutch member to increase or release the press-contacting force acting on the driving-side clutch discs and the driven-side clutch discs. The power transmitting apparatus can further comprise one or more slide-suppressing members for applying sliding resistance to the pressure member when the pressure member is rotated relative to the clutch member.
Abstract:
A power transmitting apparatus comprising a clutch housing, an input member connected to an engine and mounted thereon, driving-side clutch discs, a clutch member connected to an output member, driven-side clutch discs arranged between the driving-side clutch discs, a pressure member for press-contacting the driving-side clutch discs and the driven-side clutch discs together and for releasing the press-contacting force on them, and a starter, such as a kick-starter, able to apply a rotational force to the output member to start the engine, the power transmitting apparatus adapted to transmit or cut off driving power of the engine inputted to the input member to or from the output member. The power transmitting apparatus can comprise a press-contact assisting cam of an inverse-driving side for increasing the press-contacting force on the driving-side clutch discs and the driven-side clutch discs when rotational force is applied to the output member by the kick starter.
Abstract:
A power transmitting apparatus can include a gear-stage clutch comprising alternately arranged driving clutch discs and driven clutch discs; hydraulic chambers for actuating a hydraulic piston; and hydraulic oil supplying ports communicating with oil passages opening on the side surface of the input shaft for supplying the hydraulic chambers with hydraulic oil from the oil passages to actuate the hydraulic piston. Power can be transmitted at a predetermined gear ratio by engaging clutch discs of the gear-stage clutch by selectively supplying the hydraulic chambers with hydraulic oil. An annular sealing member can be fitted in a recessed portion formed around each opening of the hydraulic oil supplying port on the outer circumference of the input shaft. The recessed portion can have a flattened bottom surface on which the sealing member is seated so that it is contacted with the flattened bottom surface of the recessed portion.
Abstract:
A rivet setter that can efficiently and smoothly perform, and reduce the takt time for a rivet setting operation. The rivet setter can be configured to set a rivet sequentially fed from a rivet supplying means by inserting the rivet into apertures formed at predetermined positions on workpieces. The rivet setter can have delivery paths for delivering the rivet one by one by sliding the rivet down to a settable position and can have a hanging support portion formed in the settable position in the tip end of the delivery path for supporting the head of rivet and for hanging the rivet shank downward. The rivet setter can be configured to enable the rivet to be set in the apertures of the workpieces by moving the hanging support portion substantially horizontally while keeping the rivet suspended in the hanging support portion and inserted into the apertures of the workpieces.
Abstract:
A clutch outer has a cylindrical portion, and slits defined in the cylindrical portion at a plurality of points circumferentially equally spaced apart from one another to extend in an axial direction of the cylindrical portion so that engagement claws on outer peripheries of a plurality of friction plates are slidably engaged into the slits. Each of the slits includes a wide portion which is defined on the side of an inner periphery of the cylindrical portion and into which the engagement claws are engaged, and a narrow portion defined on the side of an outer periphery of the cylindrical portion with a width in a circumferential direction of the cylindrical portion being smaller than that of the wide portion. The wide portion and the narrow portion are connected to each other through a step facing a radially inward direction of the cylindrical portion. A draft for the wide portion during die-casting is set at a value smaller than a draft for the narrow portion, and a die-parting face in the die-casting is established on the side of the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion. Thus, it is possible to prevent a galling in a product and a striking sound as well as to minimize the number of the slits.

Abstract:
A motor performing power driving and regeneration has an inverter, a mechanical brake, a power storage device supplying energy to the motor, an accelerator operator controlling the motor to adjust a drive torque of a driving wheel, a mechanical brake operator controlling the mechanical brake to adjust a braking torque, a regenerative brake operator adjusting a braking torque of the driving wheel and recovering the energy into the power storage device, and a detector detecting a rotation speed of the motor. When the rotation speed of the motor is equal to or higher than a predetermined value, a predetermined braking torque, based on an operation amount of the regenerative brake operator, is generated by regenerative braking.
