Abstract: A saddle-type vehicle can be driven by finer control by judging the driver's demand based on operation of the driver relative to the vehicle when the engine is started from the idle-stop state. A saddle-type vehicle can include bar handle mounted on its opposite tip ends a grasping grip grasped by the driver and a throttle grip for an accelerator operation; an engine controller for automatically stopping an engine and making the engine an idle-stop state: and a clutch. The saddle-type vehicle can include a judgment controller for judging a driver's demand based on operation conditions of the driver relative to the vehicle and a clutch controller for selecting a travel state and a stopped state.

Abstract: An object of the present disclosure is to provide a power transmitting apparatus which can sufficiently damp the torque variation and also can further improve the fuel consumption. Abstract: A motor vehicle has a motor performing power driving and regeneration. The motor has an inverter, a first power storage device with a large-capacity characteristic, a second power storage device with a high-power characteristic, a power converter and a circuit. The power converter has a voltage step down function during the power driving and a voltage step up function during the regeneration. In the circuit, the power converter, with the voltage step down function during the power driving, is connected to the first power storage device and the second power storage device is connected in series between a reactor of the power converter and the inverter. During the power driving of the motor, an output voltage of the first power storage device is stepped down to supply energy from the first power storage device and the second power storage device to the inverter.

Abstract: A saddle-type vehicle can be configured to perform idle-stop during deceleration corresponding to a driver's demand. In some embodiments, the vehicle comprises a bar handle mounted on its opposite tip ends with a grasping grip grasped by the driver and a throttle grip for accelerator operation; two operation controls for performing braking operation, at least one of which being a first brake and a second brake mounted on tip ends of the bar handle; and an engine controller for automatically stopping an engine and making the engine an idle-stop state. In some cases, the saddle-type vehicle further comprises a judgment controller for judging whether a simultaneous operation of the first and second brakes has been achieved; and the engine controller performs the idle-stop during deceleration of the vehicle when the judgment controller judges that the simultaneous operation of the first and second brakes has been performed.

Abstract: A power transmitting apparatus can be configured to restart an engine when the acceleration pedal is actuated in an assist-start engine speed range and can improve responsiveness of engine restart. Such a power transmitting apparatus of a vehicle can provided with a clutch for selectively transmitting or cutting off a driving power of an engine to wheels. The power transmitting apparatus can comprise an assist-controller configured to increase an engine rotational speed above an self-start rotational speed by actuating the clutch when the vehicle is decelerated and fuel supply to the engine is stopped, in response to operation of an acceleration pedal of the vehicle, when the engine rotational speed is in an assist-start range which is an engine rotational speed range lower than the self-start rotational speed and higher than a starter-start rotational speed in which the engine cannot be started by a starter.
