Abstract:
A control circuit of a LED driver according to the present invention comprises an output circuit, an input circuit and an input-voltage detection circuit. The output circuit generates a switching signal to produce an output current for driving at least one LED in response to a feedback signal. The switching signal is coupled to switch a transformer. The input circuit samples an input signal for generating the feedback signal. The input signal is correlated to the output current of the LED driver. The input-voltage detection circuit generates an input-voltage signal in response to an input voltage of the LED driver. The input circuit will not sample the input signal when the input-voltage signal is lower than a threshold. The control circuit can eliminate the need of the input capacitor for improving the reliability of the LED driver.

Disclosed is a transmit/receive circuit arrangement wherein a transceiver circuit including a transmit/receive switch is fabricated on an integrated circuit chip. A matching network is wholly disposed off-chip relative to the integrated circuit chip. In embodiments, at least a portion of the matching network is formed off-chip and a portion of the matching network is formed on-chip.

A method and an apparatus of operating a primary-side-regulation power converter at both continuous current mode and discontinuous current mode are provided. The apparatus includes a switching circuit, a signal generator, a correlation circuit, and a feedback modulator. The signal generator generates a half signal and a second sampling pulse in response to a switching signal. The correlation circuit receives the half signal, the second sampling pulse and a switching-current signal for generating a modulating current. The feedback modulator modulates a feedback signal in response to the modulating current, a detection signal and the switching signal. The detection signal obtained from a transformer is correlated to an output voltage of the primary-side-regulation power converter. An on-period of the half signal is half of an on-period of the switching signal. The switching-current signal is sampled at a falling-edge of the half signal.

An apparatus for detecting a switching current of the power converter, wherein the apparatus includes a signal generation circuit, a sample-and-hold circuit, and a calculating circuit. The signal generation circuit generates a sample signal in accordance with the pulse width of a switching signal. The sample-and-hold circuit is coupled to receive the sample signal and switching current signal for generating a first current signal and a second current signal. The calculating circuit is coupled to receive the first current signal and the second current signal for generating output signals. The switching signal is used for switching the magnetic device of the power converter, and the switching current signal is correlated to the switching current of the power converter; the output signals are correlated to the value of the switching current of the power converter.

Liquid crystal compositions that exhibit little or no toxicity with respect to cells include liquid crystals with chemical functional groups such as fluorine atoms, fluorophenyl groups, or difluorophenyl groups. Liquid crystals with little or no toxicity to cell lines may be added to cell culture media or added to components used in cell culture media. Cells may be grown in cell culture media that includes liquid crystals that exhibit little or no toxicity to cells.

When the trap is triggered by an animal, the pivoting platform disengages from the latch mechanism and the pivoting platform and trigger plate assembly pivot toward the first wall of the housing, moving the rodent toward the first wall of the housing and trapping the rodent between the trigger plate assembly and the first wall of the housing.

The CSG region and the non-CSG region are exclusive.

A method of forming a write pole in a PMR head is disclosed that involves forming an opening in a mold forming layer. A conformal Ru seed layer is formed within the opening and on a top surface. An auxiliary layer made of CoFeNi or alloys thereof is formed as a conformal layer on the seed layer. All or part of the auxiliary layer is removed in an electroplating solution by applying a (−) current or voltage during an activation step that is controlled by activation time. Thereafter, a magnetic material is electroplated with a (+) current to fill the opening and preferably has the same CoFeNi composition as the auxiliary layer. The method avoids Ru oxidation that causes poor adhesion to CoFeNi, and elevated surfactant levels that lead to write pole impurities. Voids in the plated material are significantly reduced by forming a seed layer surface with improved wettability.

A method of generating a smoothed transport stream to an MPEG decoder for a diversity combine digital television receiver includes generating a plurality of synchronization clocks and demodulated signals according to a plurality of digital television signals received from a plurality of antennas; monitoring a signal quality associated with each of the digital television signals; combining at least demodulated signals having a signal quality being greater than a predetermined threshold to thereby form a combined signal; generating transport stream packets according to the combined signal; selecting a synchronization signal corresponding to a digital television signal having a signal quality being greater than a second predetermined threshold as a selected synchronization signal; and generating a smoothed transport stream having packets being uniformly spaced according to the transport stream packets and the selected synchronization signal.

A signal processing apparatus is provided. The signal processing apparatus includes an inner-code decoder, an outer-code decoder, and an error detection unit. The inner-code decoder decodes an input data stream to generate a first output data stream, wherein the input data stream is coded using a concatenated coding scheme including an outer coding and an inner coding. The outer-code decoder decodes the first output data stream to generate a second output data stream. The error detection unit performs an error detection upon the second output data stream to generate an error detection result. The decision logic sets error indication information of the second output data stream according to at least the error detection result.
