    摘要: A latex which forms a film by evaporation at a temperature of less than 40° C. is based on hydrophobic polymer particles having a core/shell structure. The particles consist of 70 to 90% by weight of at least one polymer with a soft character having a glass transition temperature of less than 20° C. forming the core, and 10 to 30% by weight of at least one polymer with a hard character having a glass transition temperature of greater than 50° C. forming the shell. When applied to any surface and after drying at low temperature, the latex, without the use of any coalescents or volatile organic compounds, provides a continuous film which is homogeneous, has no surface tack and has good mechanical integrity.

    摘要: A polymeric material from the styrene family comprises macromolecular chains grafted by nitrogen-containing heterocyclic groups; wherein the macromolecular chains comprise a polymeric backbone to which a grafted agent is attached by at least one covalent bond, the grafting agent comprises, in a single molecule, one or more associative groups capable of being bound by hydrogen bonds, and one or more reactive groups capable of forming covalent bonds with the polymeric backbone, at least one of the associative groups of the modifier is an imidazolidone heterocyclic ring. The mean number of imidazolidone groups to be inserted into the macromolecular chains is dependent both on the mean mass of said chains and on the final properties to be imparted to the material. Objects such as tubes, films, plates, stiffeners, bottles and containers can be made.

    摘要: The present invention relates to materials exhibiting the property of rubbery elasticity, consisting of molecules with a mass of between 9 and 9000 g/mol, all or some of the molecules having at least three groups (also referred to as “associative groups”) capable of associating via non-covalent interactions.Although consisting of small non-polymerized molecules that are not chemically crosslinked, this material exhibits properties of rubbery elasticity. According to an embodiment of the invention, this material exhibits rubbery elasticity at ambient temperature. Above a certain temperature, the material flows like a simple liquid. The material is thermoreversible, i.e. after cooling, the material again exhibits the property of rubbery elasticity. This material is self-repairing and potentially recyclable, which is never the case with a chemically crosslinked elastomer.According to an embodiment of the invention, the molecules constituting the material of the invention bear associative groups of formula (1) below: in which A denotes oxygen, sulphur or NH; the carbon atoms of formula (1) can be substituted. Preferably, A denotes oxygen. Advantageously, the material comprises (i) molecules having at least 3 associative groups, and (ii) molecules having a single associative group. Advantageously, the molecules are obtained from fatty acid derivatives.
