摘要: Disclosed is a sintered iron alloy, a method of manufacturing the same, a powdered mixture used for manufacturing the same and a method of modifying the surface of the iron alloy. The sintered iron alloy is produced by compacting a powdered mixture comprising: boron or boron compound which is selected from the group consisting of boron oxide, boron sulfide, boron halide, boron hydride, boric acid, borate and tetrafluoroborate; 0.1 to 2.0% by weight of graphite; and iron, and sintering it. Alternatively, the iron alloy is produced by impregnating a modifier containing boron or boron compound, into a green compact, a presintered compact or sintered body which contains iron and carbon, and heating it.

摘要: Disclosed is a manufacturing process of a sintered connecting rod assembly comprising a first member with a projection and a second member with a concavity in which the first member and the second member are mated with each other by engaging the projection with the concavity. A powdered raw material is compacted into a first compact and a second compact for the first and second members, wherein the projection of the first compact has a width slightly larger than the width of the concavity of the second compact. Then the projection of the first compact is engaged with the concavity of the second compact to mate the first compact with the second compact, thereby the projection and the concavity are tightly pressed against each other. After sintering the mated first and second compacts, they are forced to release the projection from the concavity. The die for compacting the raw material has a whole cavity and a removable core for dividing the whole cavity into two cavities.

摘要: An image receiving sheet of the present invention for receiving a desired image thereon includes a support layer and an absorbing layer containing heat-meltable or thermoplastic particles. A desired image can be formed in the absorbing layer of the image receiving sheet. Through heating the image receiving sheet formed with the desired image, the heat-meltable or thermoplastic particles are thermally melted or softened to attain a glossy and transparent surface formed with the desired image. As a result, an image bearing product coated with a glossy and transparent surface formed with the desired image is obtained. Through thermally pressing the image receiving sheet formed with the visible image toward an article of arbitrary type, on the other hand, the heat-meltable or thermoplastic particles are thermally melted or softened to be adhered to a surface of the article, so that the desired image is transferred onto the surface of the article.

摘要: The invention relates to an image receiving sheet which is a retransfer sheet for forming an image on an optional transferred medium The image receiving sheet comprises a support member, a transparent layer and a thermoplastic fine particles layer Light having an image information is irradiated toward a photosensitive recording medium having microcapsules which change their hardness by being exposed to one of heat or light. Then, a chemical latent image corresponding to the image is represented by the microcapsules having different hardness. When the photosensitive recording medium and the image receiving sheet are superposed and pressed against each other, the unhardened microcapsules are ruptured and the pigment or dye in the unhardened microcapsules flows from the ruptured microcapsules. The pigment or dye that flows from the microcapsules is absorbed into the thermoplastic fine particles layer. As a result, a visible image corresponding to the image is formed on the image receiving sheet. The image receiving sheet is placed on the transferred medium and they are thermally pressed against each other. When the support member is peeled off, the image covered with the transparent layer remains as a transfer on the transferred medium.

摘要: In a transfer-type image recording device utilizing a recording medium comprising a continuous-form recording sheet and a cut-form developing sheet, the former is arranged to be fed in a predetermined speed, coated with a plurality of photo and pressure sensitive microcapsules each containing a dye-precursor and a component to change the strength thereof when exposed to light. And the latter is designed to be coated with a developer material which is reactable with the dye-precursor. In the image recording device, a visible image is obtained by transferring an image having been formed on the recording sheet onto a surface of the developing sheet. A roller member for peeling off the microcapsules from a surface of the recording sheet after a transfer operation of an image is executed. Thus, any recognizable image on the recording sheet, for example, a visible negative image formed by the remained microcapsules, is erased after the visible image is obtained on the developing sheet.

摘要: An image forming apparatus for forming visible images on a recording medium according to source image information, comprises microcapsules, a stirring roller, a photosensitive drum, a microcapsules coating device, a corotron, an exposing device, a heater and a developing device. Each of the microcapsules includes a chromogenic material and a material having a heat-softening property wherein it is softened by heat and a photocuring property wherein it is cured by light. The stirring roller frictionally charges the microcapsules. The photosensitive drum has an electrically chargeable drum surface, the drum surface permits electrostatic latent image to be formed therein according to the source image information. The microcapsules coating device coates the charged microcapsules onto the drum surface of the photosensitive drum according to the electrostatic latent images. The corotron transfer the microcapsules from the drum surface of the photosensitive drum to the recording medium. The exposing device exposes the microcapsules to a radiation having the source image information, so as to selectively cure the microcapsules according to the source image information. The heater heads the microscapsules so as to soften the microcapsules before the microcapsules the pressed by the developing device. The developing device presses the recording medium so as to rupture the softened microcapsules on the recording medium, whereby the visible images are formed on the recording medium.

摘要: In an optical printing system for printing an image on a recording sheet, adopted as the recording sheet is a sheet coated with microcapsules on one surface thereon. Each microcapsule envelopes a first component which changes color when reacts with a second component. The second component may be coated on the recording sheet or may be coated on a separate developing sheet. The microcapsule further envelopes a third component which varies the mechanical strength of microcapsule when light is projected thereto. An image is formed on the recording sheet by selectively exposing a light thereto in accordance with the image to be printed thereon, and the microcapsules on the recording sheet whose mechanical strength is low are then ruptured by rupturing means. Thereby, the visible image is developed. The exposing is carried out by repeating a predetermined-period exposure at a predetermined interval against the same portion of the recording sheet. The printing operation of the printing system is executed by control means in accordance with a predetermined sequence.
