摘要: A system and method for measuring a lead edge and/or a trail edge media curl utilizing a dual cross beam sensor. The dual cross beam sensor includes one or more pairs of emitters (e.g., a pair to two pairs of emitters) and one or more detectors positioned sequentially in a media path so that a media passes via dual cross beams. Timing data with respect to the media can be measured as the media crosses via the dual cross beam sensor from a leading edge and/or trailing edge. A true instantaneous media speed and a curl height (i.e., media tip height or media curvature) can be simultaneously calculated from the timing data associated with the lead edge/trail edge with respect to each single cross beams of the dual cross beam sensor. An average curl height can be then calculated to enhance the accuracy of the media curl measurement.

摘要: Disclosed are systems, methods and computer program products for traffic volume reporting during radio access network (RAN) connection setup. In one aspect, the RAN broadcasts an indicator that it accepts traffic volume measurements (TVM) from access terminals (ATs) and an associated TVM threshold. An AT measures its traffic volume before requesting a connection with the RAN. If the traffic volume is above the threshold, AT transmits to the RAN a connection request containing a TVM indicator that the measured traffic volume from the AT is above the threshold. If the traffic volume is below the threshold, AT transmits to the RAN a connection request containing a TVM indicator that the traffic volume is below the threshold.

摘要: A heat dissipation device includes a heat sink with a plurality of fins, a fan mounted on a side of the heat sink with a space formed between the heat sink and the fan, and at least one airflow guiding board formed by one end of at least one of the fins. The airflow guiding board extends through the space to connect with the fan. The airflow guiding board can guide the airflow generated by the fan to the heat sink, so as to reduce the loss of the airflow from the edge of the heat sink, and enhance the effect of heat dissipation. Alternatively, the airflow guide board can also function to guide the airflow to cool other heat sinks.

摘要: A transistor having a bottom dielectric layer, a first layer, a second layer, a top dielectric layer, and a gate electrode. The first layer and the second layer form a composite quantum well between the bottom dielectric layer and the top dielectric layer. The first layer, the second layer, and the top dielectric layer are configured to form a hole wire in the first layer. The gate electrode is over a portion of the hole wire and divides the top dielectric layer into a source contact and a drain contact.

摘要: A heat dissipation device includes a fin unit (50), and at least a heat pipe (30) including an evaporating section (32) and at least a condensing section (34) extending through the fin unit. The fin unit includes a plurality of fins stacked together. Each fin comprises a wavy and a V-shaped section (52,53) and a planar section (54) therebetween. The wavy and V-shaped sections of the fins can guide an airflow flowing into the fin unit to smoothly flow therethrough, and prevent escape of the airflow from lateral directions of the fin unit. Furthermore, the wavy and V-shaped sections increase the heat dissipation area of the fins and strengthen the fins.

摘要: A method of detecting endpoint of a plasma etching system that measures the DC voltage drop across both the sheath and the film being etched. When the film is nearly removed, a drop in voltage indicates thinning of the film which detects endpoint for etching before optical emission techniques. The voltage drop is measured across resistors within the matching network.
