Abstract: A differential communication circuit is connected to a communication line formed of a positive communication line and a negative communication line for differential communication. The differential communication circuit includes: a series circuit that includes a resistor element and a connection switch. The resistor element is connected between the positive and negative communication lines when the connection switch is turned on. The circuit also includes a transmission unit that is configured to output a differential signal to the communication line and a controller that is configured to change impedance of the communication line by turning on the connection switch in a period during which the transmission unit does not output the differential signal.

Abstract: A vibration type gyroscope uses a resonator formed of a MEMS. At the time of startup, a lock state determination unit stabilizes an amplitude of a drive signal and outputs a lock signal when the amplitude is stabilized. A phase shifter generates an orthogonal signal by shifting, by 90°, the phase of the drive signal, and a phase compensator outputs a phase signal having a phase corresponding to a control signal based on the orthogonal signal and the in-phase signal of the drive signal. A multiplier multiplies a sense signal and the phase signal outputted from the phase compensator, and a control LPF performs filtering on a multiplication result. A control unit inputs a zero level signal to a PI controller during an initial state, and starts phase control by receiving an output signal of the control LPF, and ends the control when the signal is stabilized around the zero level.

The D/A converter capacitor has a first terminal connected to an input terminal of the operational amplifier and a second terminal connected to an output terminal of the operational amplifier. The D/A converter performs a subtraction operation by repeating subtraction of charges accumulated in the first and second feedback capacitors based on the quantization result, and performs a cyclic operation by sequentially repeating subtraction and amplification of the charges accumulated in one of the first and second feedback capacitors based on the quantization result.

Abstract: An A/D converter is provided with: an integrator that includes an operational amplifier provided with a first input terminal and an output terminal, and an integration capacitor; a quantizer that outputs a quantization result obtained by quantizing an output signal from the operational amplifier; and a DAC that is connected to the first input terminal and determines DAC voltage. The integrator has a feedback switch between the integration capacitor and the output terminal of the operational amplifier. An analog signal as an input signal is inputted between the integration capacitor and the feedback switch. The integration capacitor samples the analog signal. The quantizer performs the quantization based on the output of the operational amplifier. The DAC sequentially subtracts electric charge accumulated in the integration capacitor to thereby change the analog signal to a digital value.

Abstract: An A/D converter includes a delta-sigma processing circuit for A/D conversion by delta-sigma modulation, and a cyclic processing circuit for A/D conversion by cyclic processing of amplification of a residue generated in the A/D conversion. The A/D converter further includes a quantization part for outputting a quantized value of quantized output of the delta-sigma processing circuit and a quantized output of the cyclic processing circuit, and a control circuit for generating an A/D conversion result and switching over a reference voltage based on the quantized value. The delta-sigma processing circuit and the cyclic processing circuit include a sampling capacitor, an integration capacitor and a capacitive D/A converter, which includes a DAC capacitor and add and subtract a charge corresponding to a reference voltage to and from a residue of quantization. The sampling capacitor, the DAC capacitor and the integration capacitor are provided as electrically separate capacitors.
