摘要: Methods and systems for load balancing and failover among gateway devices are disclosed. One method provides for assigning communication transaction handling to a gateway. The method includes receiving a request for a license from a computing device at a control gateway within a group of gateway devices including a plurality of gateway devices configured to support communication of cryptographically split data. The method also includes assigning communications from the computing device to one of the plurality of gateway devices based on a load balancing algorithm, and routing the communication request to the assigned gateway device.

A deployable gateway surveillance node includes a controller and at least one wireless transceiver cooperating therewith to transmit a notification to the remote monitoring station based upon a received detection signal, and determine and transmit a voice-message status report, based upon the received detection signal, to the at least one mobile radio identifying the deployable gateway surveillance node and corresponding deployable sensor for the received detection signal. The voice message status report may further include information regarding a status of a communication link between the deployable gateway surveillance node and the remote monitoring station, a received detection signal strength, detected activity information and/or a status of a positioning information communication link between the deployable gateway surveillance node and a positioning/navigation system.

摘要: A fiber cable assembly includes a cable formed from a bundle of fiber optic strands, a buffer encasing the bundle, and a terminator clamp coupled to an end of the cable over the buffer. The terminator clamp includes a first clamp portion and a second clamp portion. The first and second clamp portions each have an engaging surface for engaging the other of the first clamp portion and the second clamp portion. A channel is formed between the first clamp portion and the second clamp portion for receiving an end of the cable. The channel has a cross-sectional area that is less than a cross-sectional area of the cable. The end of the cable can be inserted into the first clamp portion and the second clamp portion can be secured to the first clamp portion to secure the clamp terminator to the cable. The cable is compressed within the channel to a reduced cross-sectional area.

In one non-limiting example, the tyrphostin is tyrphostin A9. These methods can be used to promote nerve growth in the central or peripheral nervous system. The methods are of use in treating neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's disease, or in treating the transaction of a partial or complete transaction of a nerve in the peripheral or central nervous system.

摘要: An electrode having a dielectric coating is patterned to provide axially spaced rows of insulating material on the external surface of the electrode with one or more gaps in the insulating material of each row. The electrode is placed in a preformed hole of a turbine bucket and an electrolyte is provided for flow between the electrode and the walls of the hole. Upon application of an electrical current, portions of the material of the interior wall surface directly opposite the non-insulated portions of the electrode are dissolved, forming grooves. The insulated portions of the electrode leave axially spaced rows of projections extending toward the axis of the hole. The gaps in the rows or projections are axially misaligned. The projections form turbulators in the cooling flow passages of the bucket, enhancing the heat transfer coefficient.

摘要: A method of repairing a thermal barrier coating on a component designed for use in a hostile thermal environment, such as turbine, combustor and augmentor components of a gas turbine engine. The method more particularly involves repairing a thermal barrier coating on a component that has suffered localized spallation of the thermal barrier coating. After cleaning the surface area of the component exposed by the localized spallation, a ceramic paste comprising a ceramic powder in a binder is applied to the surface area of the component. The binder is then reacted to yield a ceramic-containing repair coating that covers the surface area of the component and comprises the ceramic powder in a matrix of a material formed when the binder was reacted. The binder is preferably a ceramic precursor material that can be converted immediately to a ceramic or allowed to thermally decompose over time to form a ceramic, such that the repair coating has a ceramic matrix. The repair method can be performed while the component remains installed, e.g., in a gas turbine engine. Immediately after the reaction step, the gas turbine engine can resume operation during which the binder is further reacted/converted and the strength of the repair coating increases.
