    摘要: A differential amplifier is connected to a push-pull-type source follower circuit that receives biphase signals. The source follower circuit has a first set of FETs including a first source follower FET and a first current source FET and a second set of FETs including a second source follower FET and a second current source FET. A first coupling capacitance element connects the first current source FET and the second source follower FET, and a second coupling capacitance element connects the second current source FET and the first source follower FET. A diode or a resistor connects the source terminals of the first and second current source FETs to a voltage source.

    摘要: A power amplifier comprises opposite input and output terminals, a first amplifier circuit connected between the input terminal and the output terminal and comprising a first amplifier FET and a first matching circuit, and a second amplifier circuit connected between the input terminal and the output terminal and comprising a second amplifier FET, a second matching circuit, and a switching circuit. In this power amplifier, the first amplifier circuit outputs an output signal of a first power level when the first amplifier FET is operated while the second amplifier FET is not operated and the switching circuit is turned off, and the second amplifier circuit outputs an output signal of a second power level when the first amplifier FET is not operated while the second amplifier FET is operated and the switching circuit is turned on. Therefore, impedances of the output side matching circuits of the first and second amplifier circuits which output amplified signals of different power levels can be optimized with high precision. As the result, in both the high-power output operation and the low-power output operation, the efficiencies of the first and second amplifier circuits are significantly improved.

    摘要: A detector circuit for detecting degradation in the distortion characteristics of a power amplifier based on signals from both ends of a coupled line of a directional coupler. The detector circuit includes a phase shifter/attenuator for phase shifting and attenuating a signal from a coupled terminal of the coupled line, a differential amplifier for outputting difference between an output signal from the phase shifter/attenuator and a signal from the isolated terminal of the coupled line, a wave detector circuit for converting the difference into a DC signal, and a comparing circuit for determining whether the voltage level of the DC signal exceeds a predetermined level. When degradation in the distortion characteristics of the power amplifier arises, the phase shifter/attenuator phase shifts the signal from the coupled terminal and outputs a signal 180° out of phase with the signal from the isolated terminal.
