    摘要: A sound reproducing device includes parametric speakers disposed to a display, a loudspeaker, drivers, a human-body sensor, and a controller. The loudspeaker has a wider directivity than the parametric speakers. The drivers change directions of the parametric speakers, respectively. The parametric speakers and the drivers constitute at least two parametric speaker units each composed of respective one of the parametric speakers and respective one of the drivers. The controller reproduces sound information based the number of persons in front of the display detected from an output from the human-body senor. The sound reproducing device reduces the possibility for a number of persons to hear the sound noisily, and allows drawing more attention to the content, e.g. an advertisement.

A frequency of mode coupling, with a low rate of change in vibration displacement with respect to the frequency, is regarded as a carrier signal so that a signal in an audible band which is outputted from an audible band signal source can be demodulated and reproduced with stable sound pressure in a broad frequency band.

    摘要: An electronic component includes a substrate; a piezoelectric material layer supported directly or indirectly by the substrate; a first electrode arranged on a surface of the piezoelectric material layer on an opposite side of the substrate; and a second electrode arranged on a surface of the piezoelectric material layer on the substrate side. The piezoelectric material layer is sandwiched between the first electrode and the second electrode. The first electrode has a smaller surface area than the piezoelectric material layer. A portion where the piezoelectric material layer is exposed from the first electrode includes a portion that is thinner than a thickness of the piezoelectric material layer between the first electrode and the second electrode. Thus, it is possible to configure a resonator with a higher frequency than its ordinary resonance, and it is easy to achieve an adjustment of the resonance frequency of the resonator, as well as improving the yield of the component and enabling the configuration of an electronic component that includes a plurality of resonators of different frequencies.

    摘要: An ultrasonic motor achieves uniform contact between a vibrating body and a moving body and features high output transfer efficiency and high reliability. The manufacturing process for the moving body can be simplified and the moving body made lighter by making the moving body of a carbon fiber reinforced resin composite material reinforced by at least carbon fiber, and constructing the moving body with a both-side supported or single-side supported beam construction. Elasticity according to the pressure of the ultrasonic motor can be imparted in the direction of pressure of the moving body. Thus, the undulations in the contact surface of the vibrating body and the moving body can be absorbed, stable, uniform contact can be assured, and long-term maintenance of a stable friction condition can be achieved.

    摘要: A method of driving an ultrasonic motor having a rotation body (6) which is rotated by travelling waves generated in a vibrator body (3), whereby the drive frequency of the motor is controlled in accordance with the value of an operating parameter such as phase difference between drive current and voltage, such as to maintain the drive frequency at a value which is lower than the antiresonance frequency of the vibrator body (3) and higher than a highest resonance frequency of the vibrator body (3) in a hysteresis loop exhibited by a resonance frequency characteristic of the vibrator body (3). Continuous stable operation is attained, irrespective of the effects of temperature and load changes upon the motor operating characteristics.

    摘要: A sound reproduction device includes a modulator having an output terminal for outputting a modulated carrier wave signal obtained by modulating a carrier wave signal in a ultrasonic band with an audible sound signal, a super-directivity loudspeaker connected to the output terminal, a capacitor connected between a ultrasonic wave source and a ground, first and second current detectors for detecting currents flowing through the super-directivity loudspeaker and the capacitor, a high-pass filter for outputting a filtered signal obtained by eliminating a low-frequency band component of the current detected by the first current detector, and a differential amplifier unit for outputting a signal corresponding to a difference between the filtered signal and the current detected by the second current detector. The ultrasonic wave source is configured to output the carrier wave signal such that the signal output from the differential amplifier unit is constant.
