摘要: Herein described is a hammock stand of improved strength comprising weight bearing structural members welded together in a manner that improves the strength of certain weight bearing joints within the stand to help avoid collapse and possible injury. Further described herein is a stronger, more durable weld between weight bearing structural members in a hammock stand and the process of producing the weld.

摘要: In an embodiment, a method for operating a target media device is described. The method includes receiving a user command by a remote control device for operating a target media device, where a signal to operate the target media device is not stored on the remote control device when the user command is received. Data associated with the user command is transmitted by the remote control device to a second media device and signal information, associated with the signal to operate the target media device, is received by the remote control device from the second media device. The signal to operate the target media device is transmitted by the remote control device to the target media device, where the target media device performs a function based on the signal received from the remote control device.

摘要: A nonvolatile nanoionic switch is disclosed. A thin layer of chalcogenide glass engages a substrate and a metal selected from the group of silver and copper photo-dissolved in the chalcogenide glass. A first oxidizable electrode and a second inert electrode engage the chalcogenide glass and are spaced apart from each other forming a gap therebetween. A direct current voltage source is applied with positive polarity applied to the oxidizable electrode and negative polarity applied to the inert electrode which electrodeposits silver or copper across the gap closing the switch. Reversing the polarity of the switch dissolves the electrodeposited metal and returns it to the oxidizable electrode. A capacitor arrangement may be formed with the same structure and process.

摘要: A method for generating and maintaining hierarchical tags with community-based ratings is provided. Tags for media streams are organized into a hierarchical format. Users may select tags from the hierarchical tag database that describes a particular multimedia content. If the user is unable to locate a desired tag, the user may submit a new tag. Upon submission of the new tag, a librarian approves the tag before storing and placing the tag in the hierarchical tag database. Users are also able to rate the quality of the association between the tag and the multimedia content. If a tag is rated low, the tag may be removed from the hierarchical tag database. If the tag is rated highly, display of the tag in a list of tags becomes more prominent.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for operating a service in an environment outside a mobile electronic device. The service is able to be operated by means of a host system with a human-machine interface adapted to the environment. The mobile device is brought into communication with the host system which senses the operability of the service by the mobile device, the host system is downloaded with a proxy for operating the service and the service operation is transferred onto the host system by means of its human-machine interface. The host system comprises means for reproducing information, controlling means for a user, a communication processor, a memory for storing a proxy software for operating a service and a processor for operating the proxy software.

摘要: A method of fabricating trench capacitors is provided. A plurality of trenches is formed in the substrate by performing a patterning process with a patterned mask layer on a substrate. A bottom electrode is formed in the substrate of the surface of the trench. A portion of the patterned mask layer is removed so as to expose a portion of the substrate at two sides of the top of the trench. A capacitor dielectric layer is formed on the substrate and the surface of the trench. A conductive layer is formed over the substrate. The conductive layer is at least filled into the trench and covers the capacitor dielectric layer. The patterned mask layer and a portion of the conductive layer are removed and the portion of the conductive layer which covers the capacitor dielectric layer is reserved as to form a top electrode.

摘要: An embodiment of the invention provides a system and method for creating a learning map, which is a device for expressing hypothesized learning target dependencies within any domain of knowledge of skill acquisition. The system and method are also able to utilize multiple data types and sources to assess whether the learning target dependencies expressed by a learning map are accurate and are configured to modify the learning map as necessary so that the learning map conforms to the reality of how students learn.
