摘要: In accordance with the teachings described herein, systems and methods are provided for a time-interleaved pipeline analog to digital converter. An example pipeline analog to digital converter may include passive sampling circuits and a multiplying digital to analog converter circuit. A first passive sampling circuit includes an input terminal coupled to an analog input signal, and outputs a first sample voltage that is responsive to the analog input signal. A second passive sampling circuit includes an input terminal coupled to the analog input signal, and outputs a second sample voltage that is responsive to the analog input signal. The first and second passive sampling circuits are clocked such that the first sample voltage and the second sample voltage are time-interleaved. A multiplying analog to digital converter (MDAC) circuit receives the time-interleaved first and second sample voltages from the first and second passive sampling circuits and processes the time-interleaved first and second sample voltages to generate a residue output voltage.

摘要: An efficient software download to a configurable communication device is disclosed herein. The method of efficiently downloading software begins with a step of receiving a request to configure a communication device to run a communication application. The communication device being configured has a plurality of function blocks with a fixed portion of hardware and a flexible portion of hardware, wherein the same plurality of function blocks is capable of operating a plurality of communication applications. In a next step, the capability of the fixed portion and the flexible portion of hardware of the communication device is evaluated for a capability of implementing the communication application. Next, configuration information only for the flexible portion of hardware of the communication device is transmitted to the communication device to enable it to operate the communication application. An identification of the communication application is also transmitted to the communication device for purposes of tracking its implementation.

摘要: A data merging method for distributed computing uses a configuration file to guide the insertion of computational results obtained by distributed nodes into a database table, and to merge the computational results inserted in the database table. The configuration file is established according to the task splitting conditions of distributed computing. The method uses a data merging server to import and host the configuration file and create a database table corresponding to the configuration file. Each distributed node inserting its distributed computational result into the database table after completing the respective distributed computing task, while the data merging server merges the data in the database table. An interface standard applicable to various uses and various distributed computing tasks may be used such that the user only needs to establish a job-specific configuration file based on the interface standard.

摘要: A wireless communication system hosts a plurality of processes in accordance with a communication protocol. The system includes application specific instruction set processors (ASISPs) that provided computation support for the process. Each ASISP is capable of executing a subset of the functions of a communication protocol. A scheduler is used to schedule the ASISPs in a time-sliced algorithm so that each ASISP supports several processes. In this architecture, the ASISP actively performs computations for one of the supported processes (active process) at any given time. The state information of each process supported by a particular ASISP is stored in a memory bank that is uniquely associated with the ASISP. When a scheduler instructs an ASISP to change which process is the active process, the state information for the inactivated process is stored in the memory bank and the state information for the newly activated process is retrieved from the memory bank.

摘要: A mobile phone robot is able to perform multi-touch operations on a mobile phone. A fastener holds a mobile phone stationary relative to the mobile phone robot. A first robot arm subsystem controls location and timing of contact of a first stylus tip with a touchscreen or a keyboard of the mobile phone. A second robot arm subsystem controls location and timing of contact of a first stylus tip with a touchscreen or a keyboard of the mobile phone. A camera subsystem is oriented to capture images displayed by the mobile phone. Control circuitry controls the first robot arm subsystem and the second robot arm subsystem. The control circuitry processes the images captured by the camera subsystem to detect text displayed within the image and to detect layout of the image. The control circuitry performs speech to text translation to receive commands from a user to perform multi-operations touch that are performed by the first robot arm subsystem and the second robot arm subsystem.
