    摘要: A solid concentrate is provided having a combination of a transition metal present in an amount ranging from 1000 to 40,000 ppm (weight by metal) and a polyester polymer present in an amount of at least 40 wt. % based on the weight of the concentrate. Concentrates made with highly modified polyester polymers are easy to compound with transition metals forming less brittle polymer upon melt extrusion. Bottle preforms and oxygen scavenging bottles can be made from these concentrates by combining solid polyester particles, solid polyamide particles, and solid these concentrate particles c into an melt processing zone, forming a melt, and forming an article directly from the melt. The b* color and the L* color and the haze levels of the preforms are improved over the preforms made with liquid carriers instead of solid concentrates. The particles are also advantageously simultaneously dried in a drying zone under conditions effective to at least partially remove moisture from the blend to thereby further improve the b* color and L* color.

    摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are provided for verified fencing of a rogue node within a cluster. The apparatus may include an identification module, a shutdown module, and a confirmation module. The identification module detects a cluster partition and identifies a rogue node with a cluster. The shutdown module sends a shutdown message to the rogue node using a message repository shared by the rogue node and the cluster. The shutdown message may optionally permit the rogue node to preserve latent I/O data prior to shutting down. The confirmation module receives a shutdown ACK from the rogue node 206. Preferably, the shutdown ACK is sent just prior to the rogue node actually shutting down.

The process enables the production of a low soluble nitrogen processed wastewater, and avoids the need for nitrogen supplementation in the wastewater treatment process. The process includes providing a supply of nitrogen-deficient wastewater to a controlled environment. The conditions in the controlled environment encourage the proliferation of nitrogen-fixing microorganisms in particular by control of the stability of the dissolved oxygen level. This process may be used alone or in conjunction with a conventional wastewater treatment process, relying on non-nitrogen-fixing microorganisms, without the need for nitrogen supplementation.
