摘要: A tumescent fluid infusion apparatus for use in treatment of a vascular disease includes a needle attached to a valve device. The valve device is designed to receive tumescent fluid from a fluid source. When the valve device is in an open position, it administers the tumescent fluid from the fluid source through the needle channel to allow a single hand of a user to control the needle insertion and the infusion of the tumescent fluid to free the other hand for operating a probe such as an ultrasound probe to eliminate the requirement of a second operator. The infusion apparatus also allows a user to control the amount of infused fluid without requiring syringe changes.

摘要: An optical fiber cable having a locating element and extending from a distribution enclosure to a premise is provided. The optic fiber cable includes a core having at least one optical fiber transmission medium disposed within a tubular member that has a jacket system disposed thereabout. A longitudinally extending detectable element is provided that does not function as a communications cable and that is detachably connected to said tubular member by the jacket system which is also disposed about the detectable element so as to define a web between the tubular member and the detectable element. The detectable element terminates before at least one of the distribution enclosure or the premise. The web defines a notch between the tubular member and the detectable element which serves as a shear plane to facilitate the propagation of a tear between the tubular member and the detectable element.

摘要: A method and apparatus for applying tabs to a traveling web of material at a transfer position when the tabs are provided to the transfer position in a path that is skew to the web travel path. A tab supply assembly carries the tabs in a tab path that is either perpendicularly skew or obliquely skew to the travel path of the web. The web is generally spaced from the tab supply assembly. A plurality of bump transfer surfaces is adapted to urge the web towards the tab supply assembly, thereby contacting a tab.

摘要: Method and system for providing dynamic configuration of link redundancy in data network based on detection of dynamic changes in the network topology including the steps of detecting data network topology, determining a number of data paths from a node in the data network topology to each of a respective pair of peer nodes coupled to the node by a corresponding interface, determining a data path in the data network topology between the peer nodes, calculating a set of nodes reachable via each interface coupled to the node and the respective peer node in the data network topology, and comparing the set of calculated nodes is provided.

摘要: A method and apparatus for applying tape tabs to a traveling web of material when the tape tabs are moving at a non-parallel angle to the web of material. An anvil that carries the tape tabs moves at a perpendicular or other non-parallel angle to the web. The invention allows placement of the tape tabs at different arrangements, such as the tape tabs running parallel to the web of material. A wheel with a protuberance located near the web contacts the web to press the web down and adhere a tape tap to the moving web.
