    摘要: The present invention relates to apparatus and method for decoding a signal reproduced from an optical disc. The optical disc has a signal format for recording data from an original signal in a data area at the optical disc. The optical disc also has recorded thereon a clock signal having the same phase as the recorded data. During reproduction of the recorded signal from the optical disc, this clock signal is utilized to generate a delayed version of the reproduced data signal. This delayed signal is used to decode the reproduced data signal obtained from the optical disc, thereby enabling a phase shift of the reproduced clock signal to there produced data signal to be eliminated by circuit processing. During the recording on the data area of the optical disc, fixing data for setting phases of data reproducing recording clock and reproducing signal to optimum phases for decoding is recorded. A phase corrector is provided at the optical disc driving apparatus so as to delay the fixing data signal reproduced from the optical disc, whereby a phase shift between the reproduced data signal and the reproduced clock signal can be corrected to an optimum quantity and the data signal at a preformatted area of the optical disc can be reproduced without delay.

    摘要: This digital data reproducing apparatus is adapted to prevent reproduction errors of data, wherein a read gate opened when a fixed pattern in a header field for phase locking is detected is kept opened until the data reproduction in a data field is completed, whereby the phase locking in the data field is performed still in the same low-speed mode as when the PLL pull-in is completed in the header field, with the responding ability lowered to defects such as voids or the like in the phase locking pattern area in the data field.This digital data reproducing apparatus is adapted to prevent reproduction errors, wherein, when a reproduced data in a data field is locked, a read gate is opened after a fixed pattern recorded for phase locking is surely detected, so that the phase locking is started in a high-speed mode, while avoiding erroneous operations of the PLL.

    摘要: A binary data encoding process comprises the steps of separating a given binary data sequence at every two bits by a serial/parallel shift register (18), and converting the separated 2-bit data into a 3-bit code by using a logic circuit (19) and a parallel/serial shift register (20). A conversion pattern in the logic circuit (19) is exclusively determined based on the 2-bit data to be converted, 1-bit data immediately before and 2-bit data immediately after said 2-bit data, and a 3-bit code converted immediately before the conversion of said 2-bit data, wherein a succession of at least one but no more than seven "0" exists between an arbitrary "1" and the succeeding "1" in the converted 3-bit code sequence.
