    摘要: A screen device includes an expandable and contractible folding screen connected to a side frame member and to a movable stile to be opened and closed, and a translation mechanism for the movable stile. The translation mechanism includes a single wire having three or more segments arranged in rows extending through the screen. The wire segments are redirected at an inlet to the movable stile, are guided along the length of the movable stile, are redirected in upper and lower areas of the movable stile, and are guided along the lateral frame members toward the opposite frame member, thereby the wire stretches between the movable stile and the opposite frame member the same number of times as the number of wire segments extending through the screen to absorb changes in the length of the wire segments extending through the screen in accordance with movement of the movable stile.

    摘要: The present invention provides a nonvolatile memory which includes a card controller, a reprogrammable nonvolatile memory and an IC card chip. The card controller is capable of outputting at least one of reset response information (ATR) outputted from the IC card chip in response to a reset instruction to the IC card chip and information indicative of an erase unit of a flash memory to the outside in response to a predetermined command supplied from outside. A card host is capable of causing the card controller to change an operating speed or operating frequency or the like of the IC card chip by reference to the ATR information. Upon reprogramming of memory information with respect to the reprogrammable nonvolatile memory, the card host is capable of sending write data equivalent to an amount commensurate with an erase unit to the nonvolatile memory by reference to the information indicative of the erase unit and giving write instructions.

The nickel alloy thin film has a composition containing Ni element as the main component as well as Ru element by less than 25% by weight.

    摘要: An optical pickup is provided with: a light emitting device for emitting a light beam onto a record medium comprising a transparent layer, which is transparent for the light beam and through which the light beam is transmitted; a light receiving device for receiving a reflection light of the light beam from the record medium; a liquid crystal compensating device for compensating birefringence, which is generated in the light beam when the light beam is transmitted through the transparent layer, by controlling an orientation direction of liquid crystal molecules in a liquid crystal layer so as to give a canceling phase difference to the light beam transmitted through the liquid crystal layer; a generating device for generating an indication signal indicative of the birefringence; and a controlling device for controlling the orientation direction on the basis of the indication signal so that a first angle between a standard line, which is perpendicular to an optical axis of the light beam and is set in advance, and the orientation direction in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis is kept to be constant and that a second angle between the optical axis and the orientation direction in a plane including the optical axis is changed, to thereby generate the canceling phase difference in the light beam transmitted through the liquid crystal compensating device.

    摘要: An optical disc has a recording film with information recorded thereon, and a photochromic material film provided adjacent the recording film. The photochromic material film is made of a photochromic material. The photochromic material has a first state irradiated with reading light having a first wavelength. In the first state, the transmittance of the material is increased so as to enable reading of the recorded information. The photochromic material further has a second state irradiated with auxiliary light having a second wavelength, where the transmittance becomes low so as to disable the reading of the recorded information.

    摘要: Signal sources are arranged in a matrix form and provide preset analog values. Switching means are connected between signal sources and an analog output terminal having connection paths to the respective signal sources. Latch circuits are respectively provided for switch control circuits for controlling the switching means. Each of the latch circuits latches a control signal from a corresponding one of the switch control circuits and outputs the control signal in response to a preset synchronizing signal to a corresponding one of the switching means. The switching means are simultaneously controlled by output signals of decoders so that a desired analog output is permitted to be derived from the output terminal. The period of the clock signal can be shorten and a switching operation causing variation exceeding a desired variation occurring when the digital signal is changed can be prevented.
